Has anyone tried playing with a racket that has every other cross strung? (i.e., stringing a 18x20 racket as an 18x10)
There seems to be lot of hype about the new Wilson 99S. At what point does the string pattern become too open, and there starts to be a diminishing return? |

I did that. It was awesome. And it is not illegal. It is perfectly legal.
It generated very considerable spin, and was very nice soft and stretchy to hit with. Totally recommend it. Yes, string life was short, as expected. It only lasted me 2 days. Next time, I will just choose something durable for the crosses, and see how far that goes. |

Wouldn't control be a problem?
Any danger to the frame's structure? Do you need to adjust relative tension between mains and crosses?
