Default Djokovic and Murray, AO vs USO

Here's something I don't understand. Why do people keep saying that the AO suits Djokovic and Murray more because it's slower, when Djokovic has a higher winning % at the USO, and Murray has multiple cincy titles? I don't know about his winning percentages, but I'd imagine they're very close as well. I know close history suggests that they're better at the AO (3 wins, 2 finals) but I still think they're better on faster hard courts. They just so happen to be better than Federer and Nadal on slower ones.

The problem with the USO is that the courts have not been playing the way they are supposed to. Very slow conditions, due to repainting etc. Slower HCs are actually better suited for Djokovic's game. Andy's game is better suited for faster HCs. I'm not sure how fast the courts are going to be playing this year. Andy has his best winning percentage at Wimbledon actually. That is probably due to 2 rather early exits in 2009 and 2010 though.

I think if you look closely, his name is kaku. You have him confused with a british detective.

Neither Djokovic nor Murray are classical attacking players in the mold of Federer or Tsonga. Nor are they just plain ball bashers who catch fire like Del Potro.

They like to construct points and be able to defend adequately against guys who get hot. A fast hard court doesn't really allow for that as it rewards hitting through the court rather than spreading it wide.

Murray likes fast courts as he can use his opponents pace to his advantage.
