Hi guys. I have tried many strings over the years, from all the main polys, to syn guts, multi's etc but haven't yet found what i am looking for in a string.
I am looking for something that is going to give me comfort and lots of pop when i hit the ball, but lower power so i can generate the power with my swing. I have found poly's are too stiff and uncomfortable, and multi's seem to have the comfort but are overly powerful. Is it possible to have the best of both worlds? I am sure someone is going to suggest a hybrid, but for what im looking to acheive, is it best to have the poly on the mains or the softer string on the mains? The strings i have tried thus far are: Luxilon ALU Power Various Syn Guts (tecnifibre, prince with duraflex, gamma etc) X-One Bi Phase (loved the comfort of this, but too much power). Red Cod/ Black Code Luxilon M2 Pro Pro Supex Big Ace Micro Genesis Black Magic Head Sonic Pro Babolat RPM Blast I would appreciate any advice anyone can offer. I am using a Tecnifibre Speedflex 300, Wilson K Factor K Six one 95, and Babolat Pure Storm. Thank you. |

You might like head rip control or intellitour. Mantis comfort synthetic is probably the softest multi out there and is a low powered multi. It isn't very durable, though.

I had to look at the avatar above to see if I wrote post #2! That is the correct answer for this thread.

Thanks for all the help. I have taken the recommendation of comfort, and ordered a pack of Mantis Comfort Synthetic. I will try a full bed of this, and also crossed with Luxilon M2 to see how it feels and report back.

Don't be mad at us when the Mantis Comfort breaks quickly. You were warned. |
