I can read. You can just choose to stay out of threads and not bring up your coaching. I dont care anyways. Just my observation.

The 2nd paragraph is full of common sense and logic.
Your always blaming society's problems on educated people, when most are caused by a system that operates on money and greed. Not everyone who goes to college is a crook or politician. Many contribute greatly to society treating and curing disease, designing and building things, inventing things, creating tommorrow's technology, and on and on. Are there exceptions? Of course, as there is with anything. But go through a day and think about all the things you use and experience that would not have been possible without highly educated people.

But I will take a guy who uses way back when to sell his services to parents over a guy who speaks in riddles and implies he was the primary coach for players when he was not, any day.

At least with Macci parents get the facts....he coached those famous players as kids. Then they can decide if he is worth the money or not. In my opinion the answer is no, but at least there is no funny business in regards to his claims.
I agree with you TCF and think Rick is a great coach for little kids! It's funny how a simple thread about getting an opinion on Rineberg got off topic and got GA all excited about Heath and then followed by the standard attack on DB/BB!! My two cents on all of it ( if anyone cares) -1. you are right about what you said regarding Heath (facts speak for themselves.)

2. GA got excited because he really likes his daughters new coach and went a little over the top with some statements but overall was trying to share his elation and pass on information. Then he got really defensive when you tried to give him some perspective on what it really is ( which was very nice of you but taken the wrong way due to his excitement regarding the new coach)

3. BB was really helpful like you and offered his opinion on Rineberg ( purpose of this thread) and to share what worked for him. No need for everyone to
keep talking about his son when he offered some advice. The kid is clearly talented and probably a very nice kid. I actually feel really bad every time I read the stuff people write about him because he is just a kid and many people on this forum go too far with their aspersions.. Not right and I hope he
doesn't read this stuff !!

Best to you and your child on your journey to the top.

Most important is you start mentally setting the ground rules asap getting your child to believe its you guys against the rest of the world and all you have to do is read TW bloges and you will know its true so as soon as you can start setting your child into reality mode.
Great advice! Very inspirational . Thanks again

Amazing how that happens on every thread. They are actually arguing in three separate threads now simultaneously about...well, who gives a poop...

the signal to noise on this site has really gone down hill the past month...I almost wish USTA would do something stupid again so we could (possibly) get some normal discussions going....

I'm going to post an innocuous question that I have been mulling over
and see if we can inject some normalcy and civility ( gasp!)

Great idea! Everyone should take the pledge not to comment on them unless he/she has something nice to say ! Mom always said if you don't have anything nice to say .....

I humbly disagree with you ,I welcome all critique and attacks ,it does 2 things keeps you sharp and supplys infomation that can be very useful .

I have saved ton of money not playing a lot of these overrated tourneys that TCF believes are mandatory for a player to rise to the top . Why is that cause when your "developing" a player tournament "competition" is only "part" of the process ,, I looked at all these tourneys did the math on how many thousands of players played them and saw their levels dropping rather then rising over the years and recognized the more tourneys(itf travel) you played at a young age caused more of a negative then a positive on average.

If it wasnt for TCF strong views on this postition I might not have studied the patterns of the multitudes and came to a conclusion that has saved a lot of money and still "developed" a strong athlete with a solid game and allowed maturity to grow more then frustration in him over the years.

So allow all these guys to pop off I welcome it and so should you .

I learned this forum is not interested in anything but that.....every thread that gets even the slight bit interesting gets tattled on and quickly deleted, or people moan about the subject matter.
Well I hope you guys keep up the input. As with all things internet related people have a tendency to make things too personal. We all should be able to voice our opinions, but when we take it to a personal level we can go a little too far. Plenty of great coaches out there, many different ways to make it to the tour, and no one person has all the answers, but the exchange of thoughts and ideas can be beneficial to many as long we are not trying to be hurtful. Constructive criticism not destructive criticism.

TCF isn't really going anywhere.

He's announced his departure at least half a dozen times in the last year or so.
