Hmmmm this could see him go out of the top 20 for the first time since..... ?
I think he's been top 20 since some time in 2000. Hard luck for Hewitt.

you're right : since the 10th of january 2000 (when he won successively adelaide and sydney)

but he has zero points to defend until the beginning of next year, so maybe he'll maintain his top 20 rankings... depends on the other players !

Good you can see what the rest sort of did for him in 2004 prior to 2003.

This year was really bad for him. It can only get better in 2007.

That's too bad news. This was not a very good year for Lleyton. I hope next year he can compete on the level he was few years ago. C'mon Lleyton!

I hate to say this but this looks like the end of Hewitt. His wheels is what made him great but with losing his speed I don't see him being the same player again.

Thumbs up

Nope, this isn't the end for hewitt. I think it's just how it was when agassi first got married and he had kids, he did struggle a bit at the time and then he bounced back. So right now this is hewitt's time to struggle a bit.

But looking at his awesum end of the season with a USO qtrf loss, with an injured knee is awesum. he is goin to turn this round and start off by winning 07 AO or so i hope. lol

That hurts! I have the exact same problem with my knee. So my doctor said stay off of it for a month and if the pain comes back go back to him. So I did...after 3 months of having the problem I finally took a month off. The pain went away and I started to play tennis, my knee was good, until I started to grind...well... Now the problem is back and I do not want to go back to the doctor...because he is going to tell me no more tennis for a longer period... I might go after my school tennis intermerials tournament.

But it is serious and hurts when bending it. During the match you do not feel it. For example I can not sit indian style with my right knee and it hurts when going down and up stairs...it sucks.

And I got it from tennis. I was grinding and fell diving for a backhand (won the point) but seriously f-ed up my right knee by landing side ways on it pushing the knee cap out.

Hewitt will come back strong.
