Theoretically, there could be a (slight) difference for two otherwise identical individuals, except one favors right hand and the other left, to learn tennis. As they learn the game and develop their strokes, potentially the right-hander could rely more on his left brain functions, in terms of precision, calculation, and strategies, while the left-hander would reinforce the right brain functions, in terms of feel, risk-taking, and imaginations (see the list below).

Now, the favoritism to one side and the subsequent effects are perhaps slight and hard to discern because we rarely have controlled cases to study. But if we do entertain this hypothesis that the same person would grow up to be more risk-taking and feel-based if he learned to play tennis left-handed as opposed to right-handed, then potentially we could also argue that this person may favor different types of string based on which hand he plays tennis with.

For example, this hypothetical left-hander might prefer how the string feels versus whether the string results in precise placement every time. He might not care the exact poundage of the string tension, but whether the string feels good in his hand and sounds good to his ear. On the other hand (no pun intended here), being a left-hander and knowing himself to be more risk-taking, perhaps he could find a string that is more consistent than what he usually uses so as to help his game even when he's taking big and risky swings.

I think Babolat Duralast is the best string for left handers while VS Gut in the mains and Lux ALU Rough in the crosses works the best for right handers.

By the way, I have some grips for sale. Your choice of Eastern, Western, and Semi-western. An extreme western grip will cost you $1 extra.

What about grips for the new Prince Lefty I bought? Will that cost extra because right handed grips are more easily mass produced and lefty is more of a specialty production?
