[quote=daddy.dirtsurfer;1793993]I couldn't find it anywhere in Australia until I found Xube and now I got a pair of Redondo Mid at last.
Hey, How long did it take for the Redondo mid to get to you from Singapore to Austrialia? And how much did it cost you? Racquets, shipping apart? |

Man I love this racquet (mid) and this thread - thanks Anirut and co.! After a month or so of "cheating" on my Red. Mids with other frames, I strung up all 3 of my Mids (like giving flowers to your woman when in the dog house!). I need to give props to Anirut and Vkartikv for string selection. Thanks to their posts, I tried the 18 guage (PSGD) instead of my usual 17 guage PSGD. All I can say is WOW! The 18 guage seemed to make every shot better while not changing the control/pop too much. Every shot just seemed a bit better, more preicse, more spin, more angle, etc. Thanks guys.
I may still stray every now and then, but I know what my main frames are.

[quote=matchmaker;1795063]3 days for the fast delivery- SpeedPost is faster than Fedex. Very impressive. You can ask Xube about it.

What's the story with Pro-Kennex? Looks like they are quite hard to buy them online anywhere!
I remember seeing pro-kennex in the early 90's......did pro-kennex ever get popular in the states? Could anyone tell me a little bit about the history of the company? Any retired pro ever used pro-kennex? |

basil j, how would you compare the Donnay Pro 1 International compared to the Redondo MP? In your sale post, you mentioned that it was too low powered. Does it have less power than the Redondo MP?

On paper you would think that the Donnay would be close to perfect. I had mine strung with Prince Multiufillament and typically when i use a multi, the power level goes up a bit. I found the Donnay to play more like Redondo mid than the MP. The MP has more pop and is better on serves than the donnay. If I went back to the donnay, I would string in the lower tension range and even use a gut on the mains. In hand it felt very close to a 200G revelation but I just could not get dialed into it. If I gave it more time, I probably would have adjusted and liked it better, but since I picked up a couple of 200G mw's, I have not been using any thing else. When I am tired, I use my redondo MP, other wise I am using the dunlops full time. If you like th rdeondo mid, the donnay is worth a spin..

Had to pull the redondo MP out of the bag today. I just was flat and my balls were all sailing long with the 200GMW. The Redondo, with it's forgiving nature allowed me to get dialed in and back in the match. as for The 200G MW, well tomorrow is another day..

Woburn Racquet club, winchester club, Boston sports club, willows club in andover. I actually learned to play indoors and prefer it to playing outdoors.

I just concluded a deal with xube today. I ordered 4 sets of grommets for the mids from him in Singapore and they just arrived in Massachusetts. He's very nice and I'd recommend doing business with him in case TW can't come through on parts.

Yes, rasajadad, Xube's really nice. You'll even like him more if you had met him in person like I did.
I'm planing on ordering the new Black Ace from him soon.

Has anybody here tried the "Mojo" string setup in their Mid? That is Gut (Klip Legend) mains and Iso Speed Pro crosses. If so, please post your feedback/experience here.
I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed. I did a search and did not find anything. Thanks!
