TW says that Wilson quit making Hammerlast. I have several customers that really like the stuff. Is there an alternative out there similarly priced????

honestly you would be better off buying a reel of whatever kevlar thickness you prefer and get the cheapest 16 gauge poly you can buy. it will be a better price and will be set to your specs and style of game you like.
if that isnt for you, there are several makers who have a line of kevlar/syn. mix. just search around a little on the TW string selection and id bet you could find a very comprable setup. personally......im gonna go back to using a thing poly for mains and get some multifilament for the crosses, kevlar makes my racquet feel like it has a piece of sheet metal in the string bed for what i like to have it strung at. i used to string my racquet at 78 with some sort of multi f. i used to get from the guy i worked for when i taught lessons. |
