Default British Juniors?

Any British juniors? Post your ratings, tourney results and *big wins* etc here

I'm a 9.1 (got injured for two years so the LTA killed my rating ) and play in the Suffolk area

why are you all sayin you play above your level. apart from the OP who has a good reason, the rest of you would be at the rating you play at if you were at that level. s_andrean-how have you got wins vs 5.2's 6.1's if you've never played a tournament!! at that level they cannot play matchplays so tournaments or ariels ar the only way to get matches!! i would like to find out some of your names so i can see if you telling the truth on the lta website!!!

i am 7.2, play at 6.2ish level, i have evidence of this on lta website, got close to 2 5.2s in summer. search ben west if you wish!!

not meaning to sound accusatory, just find it annoying if you guys are saying you play at a higher level than you are just to sound better amongst others. if you are telling the thruth, may i c some evidence

>Did you not think that people may hit at a high level but not have the time or money to get around and play tournaments. I dont have time to get around and play tournis with work, colledge etc but still hit at quite a high level. Never judge a player by their rating,as the people with high ratings generally play loads of matches. I know people who have a rating of 9.2 or 8.1 etc who would kill 4.1s etc. they just dont play in LTA ratings matches and big tournaments. I think most the people on this board tell the truth about their level, so if somebody says they are good you should beleive them.

if you'd been able to get yourself up to 8.1 or watever but you play at a higher level, you should be able to get yourself to the level you at. you can appeal to the lta you know!!

ps if theyre beating 4.1's with ease, they should be ale to get on to some british tour events, i know a 3.2 who is playing these events

I go to Copleston school - they have a tennis programme there which is good. We have a match against Colchester on wednesday which should be fun.

*P.S* I don't know what rating I am now - Last time I checked i was a 9.1. Which means I'm not in the boundaries to be moved down - so I guess I'm still a crappy 9.1

How do you check?

i am a 15 year old 4.2...ur all tellin a load of bollocks by saying you play above your rating cos either: you had a wonder match, the higher rated guy had a shocker and wasn't concentrating or you hit with people of that rating and don't play at that level in matches.

bludiamond, to verify i play above my rating this weekend i played an ariel event and lost in 3 sets to a 5.2, you may say he played badly, but he approached me after saying i play well above 7.2. also the next day, he played a 6.2 and won quite easily.

I'm thinking of applying for an LTA rating but im not sure how you go about it... and can anyone give a rough comparison between british rating and the american system? Like 7.5 = ntrp 3.5?
