Raonic.
Although, if you listen to their voices in an interview with your eyes closed, you would think Raonic was a wuss and Tomic was the guy with the great, attacking game.

Allez Raonic!

Issue a fatwa
or
eschew a fatwa
?

Eschew. Fatwa and jihad are not properly used nor understood by today's extremist muslims. Joe Shmoe thinks that Islam is this or that, therefore he must be killed..

You have 30 ft to the hole, with 10 ft of fringe.

Chip or putt?

Hmm... if the fringe isn't that bad, I'd try out my new putter. If it was, I'd chip. I'll say putt!

Jean Michel Jarre (crazy laser concert guy) or Vangelis (Blade Runner guy)?

Vangelis.

"Blade Runner" or Tarkovsky's "Solaris"?

If I had to watch one of the films right now, I would go with "Blade Runner."

What tastes better:

Los Angeles pollution

or

Beijing pollution?

Definitely truffles.

Dinner of hákarl on remote ice in Iceland,

dinner of surströmming, while locked in a tower on a Stockholm winter's night,

commit hara-kiri at the thought of the first two options,

or relax on a sunny beach with Makiri?

Relax on a beatch with Maria and have the Hakari on the belly.

Sitting all alone on a rainy night. Listen to Miles Davis or Stan Getz.

Both are great, but Miles Davis is tough competition.

Depends on the time of day (then again, you could skip the hakari & go 'south of belly')

Waking up: breakfast shots of vodka with Shostakovich
Bedtime: warm glass of milk and Brahms

White Nights or Notes From Underground?

I really like "White Nights," but I will have to go with "Notes From Underground."

Summer Nights:

At a notorious underground club in Saint Petersburg with Prokhorov and his escort entourage in 2012,

or at a notorious underground club in Stockholm with Borg and his groupies in the 1980s?

Like the narrator, I too developed a crush for Nastenka and was crushed when that undeserving s.o.b. "he" reclaimed the prize.

Provided that his hovering 'mother hen' Lennart Burgelin was put to bed, gotta go with Borg. Swedish tennis groupies ftw.
Prokhorov's "escort entourage" sound like a bunch of 'pros' ... as in ho's.

Funnier:

Soupy Sales getting hit with a pie-in-the-face ?

- or -

John McEnroe actually taking himself seriously while holding a vintage Les Paul ?

Fwiw, Soupy Sales' sons Tony & Hunt had a stint with the Thin White Duke David Bowie as "The Tin Machine."

You are right about Prok'whore'ov; he is notorious for this. I would also want nothing to do with professionals. I heard many stories about Borg partying at clubs in the 1980s when I was in Stockholm in the 1990s. When he played on the tour, he lived like a monk; he went wild when he rertired.

John McEnroe actually taking himself seriously while holding a vintage Les Paul.

Better musician:

John McEnroe

or

Mats Wilander?

I've seen both perform on court and on stage.

Mac's the better guitarist. Mats looks better and would be a better frontman.

Mats gets away with his singing. John will never, ever claim he can sing. But he does, hahah.

My answer: Mac. Lefty aesthetic serves him well and his songs are good. Plays more, that's why.

Sunday night after watching tennis and playing tennis:
chill with friends/family
or
find a recording of the Monte Carlo final and watch it again?

I would opt for the first option, especially if it is this year's final.

You are on a business trip, need to wake up early, and want to facilitate the process of falling to sleep. After closing the curtains, setting the air temperature to a descending temperature that won't go to the point of being too cold, and turning off the lights:

Set your portable sound system to play enough Shostakovich (or other composer, or combination of composers) to last you through your night's sleep, or channel surf until you doze off?

Shostakovich.

What sea will win the battle of Skagen:

The North Sea

OR

The Baltic Sea?
