This may be stupid but is this Marcelo Rios? I have a game for PS2 with someone named Salvador Rios thats listed as a real pro. Is that true and is that the guy in this thread? Sorry if this is dumb.

In one service game he made 1 attempt at a serve return and even walked to the duece side from the ad side as Harrhuuis went through his service action.
Haarhuis was clearly unnerved by all this and gave him some cheap junk but thankfully pulled the match out.
I was really excited about seeing Rios play as i'd never had the chance before and was looking forward to seeing some of his exceptional shot making, and there were a few, but for all that talent you'd think he make an effort and FIND a way to at least compete. That is the mark of a great player, one who can have a c*@p day but still dig deep and find a way to compete.
Very very dissapointing.
Why is Rios still playing and tanking matches, not that that is anything new for him. Does he need the money ? Is he broke ?

Mirjana Lucic, Andrea Jager, Mary Pierce, Jennifer Capriati, Arthur Ashe, Pat Rafter, Gabriela Sabatini, Justine Henin, Ivan Ljubicic, Zina Garrison. In those few examples (and that's only the tip of the iceberg) you have; Poverty, war torn countries, racism, abusive parents, other abusive relationships, early death of a parent and a combination of more than one of those things.

Now, tell us again how no pro tennis players have had difficult lives.
