I played 2 Ranking tournaments last year, but about 3-5 minor tournaments as well, which I did better in.

If you live out in the Southwest you end up traveling A LOT and long distances because there is a whole lot of nothing between people.
BUT in exchange, we play and practice all the time in regular tennis clothes- Tournaments are scheduled almost every other week all year round, like in Mid- January and February, so twenty tournaments are easy in a year. If PLAYING (not winning or losing) makes the best improvement to your game, the Southwest is the greatest place for tennis- but we play a lot of the same guys and the rides to towns can be boring. |

This is my first time playing USTA so I plan on playing about 4 tournaments this year along with league play. Wish me luck

I can't go to that many tournaments because school keeps me too busy. If I wasn't in honors and didn't skip a year of algebra, I would play way more than 6-10 tournaments a year. How do you guys manage to finish homework on the weekends and do projects and tournaments at the same time?
