Default Lee vs Pavel

I know many of you careless of Hyung Taik Lee but What do you guys think of chance against Pavel in the 3rd? He had a good win today against Alberto Martin in straight sets. He even came back from being down 1-4 in the second set and end up winning the second set in tiebreak. And in the first round he upsetted the 24th seed Ljubicic. I know He has no chance in 4th round if he wins 3rd , he will play Federer (if he beats Santoro)

My country man Lee is doing good there. I don't think he is very consistent but he did great at the 2000 US Open (he lost to Sampras) so I hope he will do it again this year. and I really want to see him go against Federer. Fed is a much much better player but Lee got a good 1-handed backhand so it would be fun to watch both players hitting good backhand groundies.

I like Pavel, great backhand and quite enjoyable to watch imo.

I haven't seen him do very well in a slam for a while and this could be the ideal opportunity and we know he can play on this surface after his TMS win a couple of years back.

I saw Lee playing in challenger events couple of times.
He was very much attacking style all court player at the time.
And he was kinda streaky shot makers.
I've heard he still holds the record of the longest winning
streak in South Korea. But I'm not sure if he has adjusted
his game for ATP. Chang was attacking player before he truned pro and became a retrieverfor example,
Had he been exposed to international
competition earlier, he could have been really good player, IMHO.

I like both guys and I agree Lee is a little more streaky but every shot he has Andrei has and does just a little better.

Pavel's one hander is not mentioned that much as one of the best in the world but I think it is... he can go over it, under it and hardly ever misses.

yup Lee is a journeyman pro.. however he's a role model for the aspiring far eastern Asian market and for that I hope he goes on to win.
