Check it out , Haas is using one of the old 200g's. no pretense of a paint job, and Ferreira was using this also in his match with Hewitt, although he had what possibly was a new 200g yellow headguard. Does this mean that Dunlop is no longer paying these guys to use paintjobs? Also what's up with Haas wearing a grungy looking Asics t-shirt? What happened to the Nike Wifebeater look?

This is actually one I really know. Haas uses a custom made racquet (heavier and more flexible) with same mold as Muscle Weave 200g.
Most top pros racquets are custom made. They might be the same mold with certain in-store models, but the compostion (weight, stiffness) are quite different. |

agreed this is the belongs in the stupid forum where people discuss whether pros really use the racquets they appear to. Its such an interesting question which philosophers have been debating throughout the ages. You cant just ask a pro at a tournamnent if he's using the racquet he appears to use, because he would only tell you if he werent part of the global conspiracy to dupe jo average into believing he could hit Roddick's serve if only he could get his hands on the real Roddick racquet.

yes it was the wrong forum but the context was to see if Dunlop had stopped paying these guys to use paintjobs possibly because the rumour is they are bankrupt.

Why do the lawyers for Prince or Dunlop allow players to play with painted racquets which advertise a different brand. Would Crest allow Colgate to take their toothpaste and sell it in their tube??

it's not a different brand. They're still Dunlop 200g paintjobs, just an earlier model.
