IMG Ruined "TENNIS WEEK"

I just received my new issue of "Tennis Week" today and IMG has ruined it. IMG recently bought "Tennis Week" from the Estate of the late founder Eugene L. Scott.
The first thing that I noticed is IMG shrunk the magazine down in size it is now the size of the original "TV Guide". There is no longer any coverage of ATP and WTA events. Just a picture from Dubai. There are no longer any results posted from the WTA and ATP events. In the Racquet roundup section of the old magazine Gene Scott would give you all the draws of the ATP and WTA events that were played the month before. The ranking section for the top 200 WTA and ATP players is gone. Along With the money leaders, and top 30 Doubles rankings.

Behind the Baseline letters to the editor gone.

Vantage Point the Editor's editorial on Professional Tennis gone.

Roving Eye gone.

April 2007, Tennis Week magazine is now about fashion. It is a cross between "People Magazine" and "Vogue". There is a big article about Ashley Harkleroad getting her hair done at Federic Fekkai's in New York. With tips as to how to get the look with Laura Mercier Makeup. We also get photos of Ashley getting her hair done. Then we get fashion shoot with different outfits.

A fluff interview with Maria Sharapova that she has brought tennis back into fashion.

This new Tennis Week magazine is horrible and I am cancelling my subscription.

My subscription just expired. I'm glad that I didn't renew then. Thanks for the head's up. Too bad that they killed a great magazine.

Tennis Week was my favorite tennis magazine because of the great coverage it had of Professional tennis and it's honest and open opinions of Professional tennis. I will miss it.
