Define entertaining because I'm sure A LOT of people find Federer more entertaining than Djokovic. |

Federer isnt done yet, not by a long shot. The guy is really still coming into his own. He's only been on top for a few short years. He was dominant in every aspect of the game. He got it in his head that he was invincible, became civilized (anyone seen Rocky III?) Then he gets his butt whooped a few times and it stuns him. I think most agreed that fed didnt look in tip top physical shape his past 2 matches. He must have felt that he didnt need to be cause nobody could beat him. Lets see now if Fed can dig deep and show that he's a true champion by not letting these losses be the start of his decline.

Djokovic has a lot of promise, but the folks here are way too eager to jump on the "next big thing" before it's time. A year ago, the place was abuzz with how Marcos Baghdatis was going to be the next number one. Jeez, just a week ago, a lot of people here were ready to crown Canas. Anyone, including Djokovic, has a long way to go to dethrone Federer. Yeah, it's going to happen one day, but it's only April for crying out loud, and the season is long.

The way things look at this point, Djokovic is the future of tennis. I don't see anyone else this good. And he should still be around in 6-7 years, so he can accomplish a lot.

The same has been said about Nadal and countless others. One day it's Nadal, the other day it's Djokovich. One day Federer is GOAT, the other day he sucks. People here just focus on what happened in the last 2 or 3 tournaments and don't look at the big picture. I'm not saying Djokovich will never win another tournament in his life or that he'll break Sampras GS record; just saying most people don't think before making extremist comments.

Both Djokovic and Nadal will surpass Federer before Federer retires. It could be a year or it could be 3 years but it will happen.

I agree. All I'm saying is that Novak is looking real good so far. I never bough all the Canas hype, even if he were to beat Fed again. Nor am I saying that Djokovich is the GOAT, but I think that he's the most promising player within the top 10, all else look like they're on their way down.

This thread is such a stupid over the top piece of crap. That said Djokovic took a big step in his career with his win here. He is definitely a potential future multi-slam winner and perhaps even a potential future #1.

If he plans to become #1 & represent tennis, he'd better take some lessons in how to be a class act ... and learn to keep his mouth shut. Comment after Miami ..."I deserve to be #1" Yuk.

Did he really say that? Hmm, what happened to humility and class? LOL I think the next time Federer plays this guy Fed is gonna send him a message Edit: I've never even heard Nadal say such a thing even when he beat Fed...wow |

Djoko's class is the biggest reason I dislike him. I'll start talking about him once he cleans it up.

Until he gets his 10th grand slam, we shouldn't start talking about this guy being a legend.

He said something against Fed before the AO match against Fed, and he was demolished in that game, although he played very well and tried hard. That is the difference between a legend and a good player. Now Djokovic is just a good player.

On the other hand, he probably said something on the lines of he deserved to win the title judging on his performances that week therefore felt he could be #1 in the future ... Anyway, has anyone got a link of his comment/ |

He also said Federer was "going down" before he lost to him at AO. |
