I agree; it makes me wonder if any of the other more notable male players would do the same.

Actually it is very true. You can tell a person's character by how they treat those thay do not NEED to treat well. People, animals, either one. Good for Gonzo.

Animal abuse is one of the biggest preludes to antisocial behavior. I knew a kid who could not refrain from torturing animals or people. He was on the news in connection with a murder 15 years later. Another guy I knew beat two of his dogs so badly they had to be put down. Guess what he beat next, his wife. There is a very strong link.

I don't buy it. I think this is a cover story. The truth is Fernando was bitten in a "rough play" accident, with Fernando's girlfriend (or, if the rumors have any validity, boyfriend) being a little too eager at playing doggie and Fernando a bit overzealous at playing "The Master".

It's a fact. And that boy/man you're talking about likely had a father who beat the dog, beat his mother, and beat him. And the cycle is repeating itself with the boy/man, and so it goes down the generations.

So, I'm evil cause I don't like animals? I don't try to run over dogs, or harass them in any way, yet I prefer not to have a dog around or pet other people's dogs.
Can't we have a choice?
And I'm pretty sure there are people who are nicer to animals than to other people...but no, we're evil.

I agree with your general feeling about him, but I disagree about the treatment of animals being an accurate barometer of a person being good or evil. There have been plenty of sick or evil people that loved animals yet did horrific things to fellow human beings. Hitler being a prime example.

It was nice Gonzalez helped out the injured dog, but anytime an animal is hurt, wild or domestic, they can be dangerous. Biting is an instinctive response to being injured, to either stop the pain being caused or a means of protection from predators. That is why extreme care should be used when trying to help any injured animals.

I don't like dogs, and I think many of the people who like them have a need for subordinates. I prefer equals, especially those who don't bite while wagging their tails.

Aside from the yapping, barking, defecation, inconvenient bathroom walks, hair, fleas, odor, and biting, the thing I really take issue with is begging. Even trained dogs will stay within the sight of people eating and give them guilt trip looks. Very annoying.
