jjjosh/nitefly- i know you guys see this. wanna go? although i absolutely despise clay courts. i know jjjosh loves them though. off topic but me, jjjosh, and nitefly were able to demo the head youtek speed mp and the youtek radical mp yesterday night. overall feel was that the radical mp felt much more solid. neither racquets made me want to switch. its not like i would have switched anyway. i'm too invested in this racquet. i'll use it until it breaks. jjjosh was loving nitefly's pure storm ltds.

Catcher Im goin with Johhny Bench. From watchin the vids of him he had a cannon and blocked balls really well. Batting wise Bench and Fisk are practically equal. But bench gets the nod for his glove work.
Didnt see any vid of Yogi but his offsense nukbers are better and he won 3 MVPs to Benchs 2. But Yankee stadium inflates numbers and is why people think Jeter is so good. So F the Fin yankees I still say Bench. RH Pitcher All time I gotta go Walter Johnson. If your nickname is the big train then you must be good. Unless I can 68 Bob Gibson for 10 years To stick with Modern dudes Ill take Maddux over Clemens and Pedro in his prime was close but that prime wasnt quite long enough. Maddux just perfected the art of pitching. He was kind of like Fed where he masde it seem easier than it was. Clemens was like Nadal where you just saw the raw power overwhelm guys. Ill leave the lefties to ya bro

and we played some competitive doubles until the third set last night. jjjosh/nitefly vs me/mrs jjjosh. jjjosh/nf takes the first set 6-3, ppl/ms jjjosh comes back and take the second set 2-6, third set ppl's bronchitiis kills him and he plays like crap. jjjosh/nf wins easily 6-0. i think i really ****ed off mrs. jjosh in that third set cause of my horrible play. i'm really paying for it last night and today though. coughing like crazy.

Cool. See if Allie wants to visit the Big City for some mixed. I'll find a suitable partner. Prefer Saturday or Sunday? I can get us an inside court at Fairfax Racquet Club if you prefer indoor play.

You can find a much better version sappy - just google: Kid Cudi "Make Her Say" - it's got Common and Kanye on it. Just a warning - may be NSFW.

Lefties for me always start and end with Koufax, although I see a case for Warren Spahn and Steve Carlson. Spahn was incredible - 21 seasons, 363 wins, 3.09 ERA, averaged 252 innings a year, 13 20-win seasons, including 1963 when he was 42 years old. Amazing career. But the West Coast Koufax, once he got it going in the early 60s, was simply untouchable 99 percent of the time - best curve in history, 100-MPH fastball when he needed it, pinpoint control. A joy to watch. And a man true to his convictions: refused to pitch the opening game of the 1965 World Series against Minnesota because it fell on Yom Kippur. Won 3 Cy Youngs - 1963, 1965, 1966 - when MLB gave out just one a year and led MLB in wins, strikeouts and ERA in all three years. Best there ever was.

xisbum -- for me the best batboy of all time has to be bobby savoy. always came through in the clutch and he never once complained about being a one tool role player as a member of the knights. i'd say he was pretty special.

TFM though I respect you se;ection of Savoy as GOAT of Batboys I would not be able to sleep if I didnt mention at least the true GOAT of Batboys.
And that man is Stanley Kirk Burrell who was a batboy for the Oakland A's from 1980 to 1981. He was like a rat to to the owner who lived in the ******* (Edit: Middle of the part of the US west of the Mississippi River) somehwere. Reggie Jackson had this to say about Burrell "Hell, our chief executive, the guy that ran our team, uh, that communicated [with] Charlie Finley, the top man there, was a 13-year old kid. I nicknamed him "Hammer," because he looked like [Hammerin'] Hank Aaron." This man would become pretty famous later in life. And has to be the GOAT of Batboys
