I tried it thanks to Xisbum. Soft on the arm, good control, not so great on the tension hold.

^^^I'm thinking I may give the pro-supex maxim touch another try on the next stringing. I liked it in the Prince.
That Babolat set-up was what a friend of mine had on her nTourTwo...and she raved about it.

i thinking about giving the YY a try with maxim touch. can't stop thinking about it. i should've recorded my last demo session with it, cuz i can't remember how/why i played amazing tennis the first day against auzzie and then i remember the next time i was down 0-4 against auz before finally going back to Xtrmz and was able to get back into the set.
but i'm jonzin bad to join lleyton in being overpowered and scrambling around while people hit winners off my short balls. eeeeeps. |

i like ... not sure if my game can pull it off but better than polka dots
also, nice hit, nice impersonation of delpo with the big serves on big points, and clutch in the breaker.

Hw, I had the first gen. Raptors. Decent all around shoes, nothin to write home about except for the design. I had 3 generations of diadorAs and the wrap aroud tongue versions were the worst. All were light, but those ones had no support. Glorified foot coverings
Ppl, I use the thickest insoles I can find- I order them online and they are only like 4 bucks each. I can't think of the brand off the top of my head.

1. HW is always going off about the FF settings, when he never plays anyway, so I think he should be ignored.
2. His comments don't make sense anyway, because he says people with LOW picks get harmed by the settings but last year almost all the top picks used them on RBs... and Tom Brady was picked at #7 and then same team grabbed Peyton Manning w/ the 14th pick. Having 2 QBs start in a small league actually makes things much more competitive and balanced. With only 1 QB starting, if somebody drafted P. Manning in 2001-2007, the league was just about locked up with them as champs. Having multiple QBs means that somebody with 2 decent QBs might be able to counter 1 superstar QB. 3. The settings should not be modified, because they worked last year. The team that drafted Brady also had Peyton Manning, Joe Flacco, and Kerry Collins. That sounds like depth to me! 4. Injuries and depth are part of the game. There were only TEN teams in our league, so there should be plenty of QBs to go around. 5. (i originally thought that..) The only team that I see that "messed up" either do to bad luck or bad use of the pre-draft rankings, was sup's team that didn't draft a QB until Round 5. (Oooh, but looky here) I guess my team "messed up" even worse, my team didn't draft a QB until Rnd 8 and Rnd 10. but i got lucky i guess w/ Jay Cutler and Phillip Rivers. So maybe everybody should rank their QBs a little higher? dunno.. but if i am able to draft those guys that low... it only adds empasis that there are plenty of qbs and people weren't fighting over them in the draft. 6. If draft mistakes happen, then people can make trades to better their teams. If we get 12-15 people to play, then I don't mind going from 2QBs to 1QB... but when you have so few teams... It definitely EVENS things out to have 2. You've got 32 teams in the NFL, so using 20 of them to start in our league makes sense, and then you still have 12 to pick from in case of injury. 7. it pays to be active and pick people up off the waiver wire when injuries happen. it was probably my pickup of Matt Cassel as soon as Brady got hurt that helped my team win... I can't remember anyone wanting to trade for him though. 8. i remember all the whining about the settings last year. probably why i didn't start the league up this year. I think the settings work well, especially with only 10 teams in the league. If you want to decrease the number of RBs and QBs, fine... there has been enough injuries and trades in the league this past year that nobody has a 4000yd/30+TD qb guarantee anymore. 9. the setting I painstakingly chose last year already implements most of the helpful HW suggestions anyway. I reward for shutouts and huge yardage performers and penalize for incompetence. If you "critics" were smarter, you would be suggesting that maybe the pts assigned to return yrds should be modified/eliminated... cuz that is where i find "sleepers" .. guys like Steve Breaston, Jerious Norwood, and Eddie Royal, Darren Sproles, and Leon Washington, etc. I load my team up with those guys that get points returning kicks...and it usually pays off. I know when the first few weeks started and people posted their scores, HW (the non-FF playing guy) had issues with the way points were allocated, but I'm not looking it up. If somebody remembers exactly what was "wrong" with the point system... let sappy know. *looking for another league to join* Last edited by datsveryinterestin : 08-18-2009 at 09:27 AM. |

That's because he was never injured in the first place, IMO.

yah, although that forehand technique looks ripe for elbow problems... but when he connects...
it would be interesting to know exactly what conversation went down at Legg Mason before he made his decision. Prize money.. ATP points... rest... elbow hurting... I wonder how it all factored in. Soderling vs Del Potro was gonna be awesome.. so I was definitely piZZed when it was a walkover. sniff. tx 4 ur support Nitefly! it is all in the Supreme Leader Jong's hands now.... the DUDE will ABIDE! woooooooooo |

So the guy had P Manning and Brady? Barring injury hes getting 100 pts a game min from 2 guys. that dude would have won 10 games easy.
The problem with 2 qbs is that usually the guy with stud QB doesnt end up with another stud as backup. Why watse pick 14 on Peyton when you have Brady. It leaves the league unbalanced. And then what do you do on a bye week. Some dudes wont have a guy to use as if each team has 3 QBS (which you need) you run out of starters. And QBs are not like RBs and get platooned they either start and play or they dont. You would have been better off startig ronnie brown at QB hoping he would throw a pass instaed of starting an actual backup. Who had drew brees last year? what other QB did he have? how did he finish? I used to play and the leagues I was in having P Manning didnt garuntee nothin. I remeber last year it just seemed like the scores were really high. mostly because of the 2 QBs. Return yardage should be no more than 1 point per 40 yds of returns. I used to play FFB all the time but just 1 league aint enough. and 2 leuges you gotta go by different rules. and just gets stagnant and boring to me. I think I would rather just be a comissioner and maintain order and merit

I know ... I know.. cause someone behind the scenes told me. Lets just say... show courts and time preferences were a big factor.. So he stuck it to the man.

than this league will be no fun. I already predict I'll be stuck with Michael Vick and John Elway.
