Yup; very unFed-like. But the man don't like Hawkeye, and has expressed his disdain for it many times in the past.

He did give Delpo his due in his gracious loser speech. And bully for the young Argentine for not letting the TV guy dictate what he could and couldn't say - in Spanish.

Pretty cool Open, all in all.

Sup - Looks like a chance of rain Friday; want me to check on some indoor time at FRC?

Text between Sup and I during last night's final.
-------------------------------------------------

First text...

Me: JMDP's forehand reminds me of my forehand.

Sup: Maybe when he uses his left hand.

Me: That's cold.

Sup: Well, you do have his hair.

Second text... (at the end of the match)

Me: Whoo-hoo!!!

Sup: You missed what he said in Spanish, he thanked everyone for sticking by him.

Me: No, I heard it, he also said "Thanks to TheJRK for helping me with my forehand."

Sup: Yeah, by showing him what not to do.

Yeah - where was the point penalty?????

Best part was where he was like - "don't tell me to be quiet" - what was unsaid was ".......... because I'm the mf-ing Federer."

How can you no love JMDP??? I like how he kpet insisting that he say something in spanish and got all teared up.

So does JMDP now own the most dangerous forehand in tennis????

What I found funny during last night's match was this:

Fed was complaining to the umpire about "el enano" taking too long to challenge line calls. He even let out the s-word. But, later in the match, he took about half a minute to discuss something with the umpire, then 20 seconds later, he decides to challenge the call. Setting up a double standard I see...

Btw, I think I have a new favorite umpire now. This Jake Garner guy doesn't take crap from nobody. From what I've seen since he busted into the scene in 2006, he doesn't simply ignore players' whining like all other umpires out there. He actually fires back at players. I can't believe he told Fed to be quiet. He's got some pelotas. jajaja.

jake garner is the absolute WORST chair ump.
there are always problems in his matches... and the final
was probably the worst job ever.
(uh.. fed, sorry it was a fan making the out call... uh.. fed, sure even though
we've been talking for minutes and i've been warning delpo about taking too long to challenge, go ahead and challenge now...
uh.. wow fed, the fan was right.. it was out... i guess it is a second serve.. uh sorry delpo, that should've been your point but now i guess just cuz i've made a mess out of it.. go ahead and take a 1st serve." WTF?
it is pretty obvious Roddick, and now Fed think he suXorz too. but i guess he was doing the final match because somebody thinks he's good.

i thought Delpo's game would cause Fed big problems, but also thought
Delpo would crumble on the big points and Fed would shine, as usual.
I also thought Delpo would need to hit his 131mph bombs to win.
Turns out he could just spin his serve in and Fed would be the one
double faulting in tiebreakers.

JRS... Best part was where he was like - "don't tell me to be quiet" - what was unsaid was ".......... because I'm the mf-ing Federer."
LOL..you are right.. in fact i was waiting for him to just come out and say it... don't put your hand in my face.. i'm the freekin Fed. i pay your salary.
without me you are nothing. i'll have your head chopped off and carry it around in my purse at wimbledon... (well, maybe not the last part!)

Fed's serve was strangely off.......

Seems like he'd good 2 games at a time without making a first serve.
