dang it... the 1 time i miss out on taliban court hitting and i hear it turns into an all night drink fest. kerrrrrrrap!
playin well with the xxXxx's though. they look sweeet with black string too. with they yellow/black 2.3s, i am set! hey topaz, i know you hate Vick, but i thought this interview was pretty honest. it is in multiple parts and for some unknow reason split up with a bengals lowlight, but check it out! http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shu...urn=nfl-274159 i hate the eagles, but Vick is awesome! too bad about those ribs! |

Vick's performance during the Jags game was pretty scary and fun to watch. I imagine the man is really going to have an uphill battle with public opinion. However Kolb taking snaps made skins fans feel a lot better.

sup-meister, the black magic didn't feel right at all when i tried it, but that was before my stringer was recalibrated.
(i'm willing to try it again if you give me another 38.5ft.. i am using Black Code 17g which also feels weird, maybe i don't need a dampener cuz it already feels like there is a vibe damp on before and when i played with the vibe damp it felt bizarre... but all my shots went in so i might be able to get used to it! waiting for cyclone to come back in stock.... the price is right! my buddy was playing with Kevlar hybrid strung at 68lbs.. he was playing great and his racquet was making a huge Nalby like POP! his shoulder will probably fall off soon though. geez, every monday i wake up with a sore throat these days. time for some more chamomile tea! |

dooood i dunno. i was turning a few screws and have some digital fish scale thingy... who knows what i'm doing.
but before i was stringing more than 10lbs higher than what i thought it was. (that is now my excuse for all of my poor play in the past 3 years... not the 15lb beer belly and general wimpiness) |

Interesting find on the interview. I was firmly in the 'he's only sorry because he got caught' camp, but I think he said some brutally honest things in that interview. Such as 'my whole life was a lie', that there was nothing anyone else could do, that the best thing that happened was him going to prison, and he never watched the game DVDs. That being said, the 'word' is that he isn't going to stay in Philly, correct? I think if he hadn't gone out of the game, then it had a good chance of being a different result (especially after hearing my AP's recap of the botched Haily Mary...I was in a rehearsal and missed the whole game). *shrug* Woulda, coulda, shoulda. I do think he's one heck of a quarterback. Philly has, at least in my time, always kind of 'revolved' around a strong QB...Jaws, Cunningham, McNabb. I loved McNabb, and was pretty peeved when he was let go. I don't think Kolb is that guy. If Vick stays, and he is true to his word about turning around his life...maybe. Time will tell if he is being sincere this time around. PS...I've endured endless Vick Ribs jokes today...none here???

Topaz,
I think the Eagles will end up keeping Vick. There was talk before the year started that he was potentially going to get traded. But I dont think any team was serious enough to offer anything the eagles felt were worth the price. Im not sure they would have won if he hadnt gotten hurt. The Redskins had a very good gameplan against philly. the Eagles are really no different than they were last year, as far as the offense goes with Vick as opposed to McNabb. They rely on the big play to score points and the Redskins didnt allow that to happen all game. With Kolb in there they appeared to move the ball well, albeit with short throws, but thats Kolbs game. e is not a QB tha is going to have sucess throwing the ball 30 yards in the air. The botched Hail Mary at the end wasnt botched. Kolb threw as a good of a pass as you can in that situation. the ball was in the recievers hands (Avant I think) and he simply could not finish the catch even though he should have.

^^^well yes, I meant botched by the receiver. Again I didn't actually see any of the game...just really repeating what others told me (aka harassed me about!).
If he stays...fine...as long as he ends up sincere. Far be it to deny someone a second chance if they are serious about it If not, look for him to be floating down the Delaware River at some point!

Botched is little strong its was tough catch to make. Botched would be if he was running to the end zone and fumbled with nobody around him or tripped over his feet. The catch was makable but not a gimmie.
The Ravens have a guy who actually killed a man by hitting him in his car. People still want vick to be kicked out of the league and never forgiven, yet nobody raises any fuss over a man who actually killed another man. Then payed the family off and got no Jail Time.

Yeah Stallworth pleaded guilty to a DUI vehicular manslaughter charge... I'm sure there are people making a fuss of it somewhere, especially the victims family. I don't think he should be allowed to play either. Or any pro athlete that commits a felony. Being a professional athlete is a priviledge.
I don't want to downplay what happened (since it was terrible), but that accident (hence the manslaughter charge instead of vehicular homicide/murder) was a one time deal. Stallworth didn't systematically run multiple people over with his car over a period of several years. As a dog owner (pitbulls even) I've forgiven Vick, but I'll never think "he's awesome", not in a million years. I don't know how any dog owner could. It's the same with Tiger Woods. People have the misconception nowadays that your job is who you are as a person. Tiger = golfer and Vick = football player, and somehow what they do off the field has no relevance. It's shameful. |

Gotta admit that Michael "Hush Puppie"Vick was playing lights out ball until the Skins gave him that rib sandwich on that slick zig-zag jaunt of his towards the goal line. In recent weeks ESPN started to return to their "Vick shilling" ways from yesteryear, i.e. once again referring to him as nice-guy "Mike" Vick. Nice to see McNabb get a nice ovation (and the win despite him missing 2 wide open/sure TD's; one a brutally underthrown pick).
