Tennismonkey told me the same guy put the slap down on him when he tried the same thing. Guess times are hard at USPS, probably watching their cost closely.

Like I said, learning experience....

Oh well.

The reason they are free is because they are for Flat rate shipping. Since you are not using them for flat rate I guess the guy gets mad that people who are using the free boxes to make bigger boxes. Next time cut the box down one side and flip it inside out that way you dont see the USPS branding on it and see if he takes it.

If not just try a different Post Office.

Yeah try a different Post Office, and definitely make sure you get the non-flat rate boxes, which you can stack and tape together. Best one is Arlington PO, let me get away with anything!

You can get USPS Priority Shipping boxes in 10 packs shipped to you for free. I also just log into my PayPal account & use the shipping via USPS option to calculate/print out shipping costs. Plus the shipping fees are also discounted vs going to the post office counter. I then just leave it for my mailman to pickup or drop it off at the post office counter without having to wait in line, etc...

pleeeease don't even get me started on the post office.

my local one is sooo busy by people using it as their bank trying to get money orders and even worse is when the customers ahead of you all want passports and only speak spanish and the employess pretty much only speak vietnamese. it is a real time suck!

so i went to a different post office recently and i wrote the label on last minute while in a loooong line. i wanted to make sure the address didnt get smudged so i asked at the beginning if the worker could put a piece of clear tape over it. he said "sure". i waited and waited and decided that i wasn't going to sign my receipt until he did it... meanwhile the line grew behind me and the lazy worker wasn't budging off his seat. so i asked him again to put the tape on and he said since i didnt TRUST him, i needed to go buy a reel of tape and put it on myself. i basically told the guy to eff off, and i decided to buy insurance on the package so i didnt get skrewed on the deal.
i guess i am untrusting, but when you look and act as lazy as this guy, who doesnt move any faster than a slug even though the line is out the door... i wanna see my tape applied in person!!!

geesh.. now i am all worked up!

no buyers for my racquets. i really want to use IG Speed or YY200 but i have a closet full of sticks. gah!
i might have to resort to dennischan style and include a pair of slightly soiled shorts to entice buyers!

Thanks for the hit Auzzie.

Dayam! You were killing the ball. Anything that was remotely short was gone. I was thinking I might get a few rally balls off of what I thought were deep shots, but no luck. LOL!

JRS, i think that's auz's way of saying that you are horrible and he didn't need to come to net.

i'm surprised auz didn't quit tennis after he was destroyed by sap and dats over the weekend. sap's perfectly timed (never late on the swing.. amazing!) inside-out backhand blasts combined with dats' skillful topspin lobs. such a thing of beauty!

i guess our high caliber of tennis inspired him to play everyday to improve.
i am glad we could help him realize what level he needs to get to if he is really gonna hang with the big boys.

All you racquet junkies - besides TW, where are some other places you look for used sticks?

I'll be on the hunt for a used Head Presitge Pro MG (4 5/8 ) soon.

Saw one on e-b-a-y the other day, but not sure if I'm going to spring for it.

FWIW - seems like these sticks move pretty fast here on TW.

yeah I've never been quite sure why you like moonballing when we are just hitting around and practicing, I guess now I know you mean to do that
It was actually awesome practice having you two toy with me and make me run around the court. I need more days like that to get back up to speed.

TW FS/FT is the best and maybe try posting a Wanted Post. Sometimes people come out of the woodwork with frames for you.

Hmmmm..... If it's the speed IG I might have to give it a swing when you get the demo. I'm sure that extra 2 sq inches will make me a 4.5 for sure....

might've found a buyer for RDiS mids. w00t
not 1 bite on any of my talktennis classifieds. even though
i am being dumb and considering selling my xXxtremes even though
i play okay with them.
thank goodness for craigslist where people actually BUY things!
c'mon 9/10 youtek extremes and nobody is interested? ridixXxulous!

the 5/8 yonex i understand because talktennis classified section is trolled mainly by justin biebers and dennischan, but somebody should want 3/8 xXxtremes. nutters.

oh well, i should probably learn to keep all racquets for 5 years since i might
go back to rdis100mp just like i went back to extremes just like i have gone back to yonex mids time and time again. har.
i think it proves that a manufacturer can slap a new coat of paint on a racquet and say it has ultigre fibres in it and i will buy it!

but i think if i played with igSpeeds and yyMP frame for a while i would be fine.. hopefully i can decide on just one though. i think i like the igSpeed for forehands and volleys and yyRDMP for serving and backhands. gah!

JRS.. lets set up a mini-meet.. next Sat? string up a PrestigeMP with all poly please!
HW, bring the grill! somebody locate JRK and get him to come out. i miss gumby!

I can also vouch for posting in the wanted section. And keep bumping it up, too. That was how I found more kTours last year.

I can ask MrsJRK if gumby can come out and play.
