^^ Sorry, Thug. Can't help ya there. I'm down in the metro Richmond VA area.

A big shoutout to Chris et al. They've started off gangbusters with a nice 4-1 win. Woohoo!

And, partner and I took down a solid team from the la-dest-da Club in town, 6-3, 6-4. We're socked in with rain so tournament has been spread all over town to indoor facilities. Bad Karma. We ended up at our opponents' home courts. But I guess it didn't really work out for them. Nerves were clearly in play and they had a huge cheering section. We had some peeps too, but not as many and we pulled out a nice, solid win. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Does this forum include anyone from the S Jersey shore area? I'm looking to break out of my small circle of tennis buddies for some new playing partners. I'm probably around a 4.0 - 4.5, but I will play at any level.

To my knowledge Im probably the closest one to you. But i live in Maryland so wouldnt be able to meet up with you very often. I'm about 45 minutes from Camden NJ. So if you are close to there we would hit every so often.

so met up with sportsfan yesturday. we were out there for 2 hours! almost no break either. we get on court which played rather fast, and he proceeds to blast 185mph forehands down the line. his backhand was definitely weaker, but then he brought out the slice. the slice!!!!!!! deadlier than sappy at a buffet. so yea. he moved me around a lot too. hopefully i will do better next week.

edit-i didint use my normal sticks. was demoign the new head sticks plus the donnay dualx black. one of the best feeling sticks ever. might be switching to donnay!

It was fun hitting around with zap y'day. Good game, he's very consistent off both wings (all the advice from TW peeps to the videos drilling in?

with lots of top spin from the semi-western grip. I spent a good amount of time watching cross court winners fly by.

looks like downs and the NOVA guys got edged out by the smallest of margins or they would have been one of the 4 final teams.
