sup. maybe you are playing with my words a little too much.. but i'll restate it for clarification. tmonk will take on what ever challenges the south FL chapter wants to throw at him.. speaking of the FL chapter. it appears to be in a state of coma and/or hibernation. can you restart their engine over there. k tx

Sappy aka "Don King", I am sure Tmonk "aka young Mike Tyson", can help you train for your tequilla challenge.

I cannot restart SFTC as easily as I thought.

1. Most of the tennis players down here are too busy outside on the court and under the sunshine, to check the internet.

2. There is an insane amount of tennis at multiple locations down here. No desperate need to find a dry court or tournament. Watch good tennis, watch bad tennis, play good tennis, play bad tennis... it's a lot of tennis no matter how you slice it.

3. No asians. I cannot persuade the cuban, polish or germans (primary tennis groups down here) as easily as the groups up north. Most are too loud to talk over, too bullish to not question everything , and not persuaded by meats and free meals as easily. jk lol.

4. The only thing that seems to get most of the guys (and some of the girls attention) besides tennis are:

this

and this

and this

No tequila. But I'll man-up to a game of darts. I might can hit the board lefty...but righty...gimme a shot of chilled rum, Hard to Handle on the jukebox...and we'll go an 01, cricket, diddler's choice round. Never did throw a Ton80, but I've got a few 9-mark patches. All ladies team I was on for a few years was called The Pointer Sisters. Extra brownie points if you know what I'm talkin bout, Willis.

Hubs and I actually have a nice set-up in our garage. Don't get to play as much as we used to. And competitive darts, out the window with a family. Can't be traipsing around to hole-in-wall joints, in less than savory sides of town til Midnight during the week. But damn it was fun when I was single.

just got my ezone xi! swings heavier than 11oz. just leaded it up to 12.4 oz. debating whether I should take out the poly tours on there. racquet is a lot more square than my prev yonex's. very comfy on the swing..
really want to put some rip control on there.

Topaz...check your email.

Others, dinner tonight was a pulled-together stir-fry that turned out awesome. You should've seen me bangin' my cleaver on the frozen flank steak to break off the portion to use this evening. My kids think it's a hoot that mommy gets to "bang" on things in the kitchen. Ha!

Tennis washed out yesterday with the weather, today because the tinniest Angle has Strep. Yuck! At least Big Sister only seems to be a carrier.

Since we're headed to Bal'i'mer for a short vacay next week...any suggestions for things to do/places to eat other than the obvious (Aquarium/Port Discovery)? We'll also be in DC for a quick 24 hr, probably to do one of the Smithsonians and visit some family friends who (like us) are fans of Mandalay.

Wish I could bring my sticks with me but Hubs would, literally, have a heart attack.

have fun at the Smithsonian. u should make a trip to Dulles for the big air and space museum. they have the space shuttle there now. u could sneak ur stick and play at east potomac park. I always play there after work. its really beautiful there. if u are at rec mall and don't mind a short trip across the 14th str bridge, u can get the best afgan kabobs at kabob palace in crystal city.

AQ, thanks!!!! I shared it with our other player tonight at practice. I lost to her two years ago and would like another crack, but confidence is a bit shaky. Gotta get the eye of the tiger going!!!!

When are you going to be in DC?

Cool...do you play DC league? Would I ever run into you at EPTC?

not very likely. I usually go there early summer or fall outside or winter indoors finishing before 5pm. playing by the, even though, very polluted potomac, is still very nice. the indoor courts are horrible, even though I pay $30 each time and complain.

I should join a league once in my lifetime but its too much commitment. I usually just call friends or try to go to a twmac meetup to play.
