And i think if I had to learn one FH, it'll be Delpo's. They guy can take it all in French Open (if he doesn't make so many Unforced Errors).

After watching fed so many times, I still dislike him. The man's technique is just too perfect. Unbelievable.
It is easy to hate that which has no flaws

CB -- rip control is my string of choice. but i'm trying some new poly hybrid combos.

downs -- another tiebreak for me last night. i'm getting pretty good at these things. team monkey downs in full effect this weekend.

hollywood -- funny you mention ping pong. this week, took my niece to her soccer practice in potomac. at the practice was a community center. in the gym - they must've had 20 ping pong tables arranged in rows and the place was packed. easily 60-70 people in there. mix of mostly middle school and high school kids and older guys and a smattering of ladies. half the group was chinese and the remainder was white and black. all of them playing and challenging each other. pretty cool to watch.

Saw the WaWa-Seppi match, and Seppi was hitting some really tough shots. Liked WaWa's outfit better, but Seppi played just a tad better tennis.

Delpo really punishes that forehand, doesn't he? And I understand he's a nice kid, too. Hope he can make it back into top form.

I envy Federer, but how can you dislike perfection? IMO, he's what we all strive to be. Plus he somehow gets by the 3-racquet rule. Maybe that's why you don't like him?

How's the ankle?

P.S. Do any of you kind folks use the iPhone app called RacquetTune?

I just got this app. Pretty neat and seems fairly accurate. It can sometimes have issues with not being able to take the tension (probably because of background noise) but it gives you an idea of your tension over time. Enjoy!

i think it's official. I am the official fed hater of TWMAC. dang perfectionalist!

ankle sux goat's (fill in the blank). Found out from monday's MRI that I got a stress fract on top of the ankle. at least all my ligaments are alot better. Unfortunate to say, my McDavid Level 3 ankle brace feels and supports better than the one my ortho wrapped.

I want to get out to hit with my new stick!

Anyone getting into FB stock today?

I can proudly say I actually have some tennis lined up for Saturday. It's only a hour, but better than nothing. Man, this is going to be ugly.

Been checking out the web site and it doesn't say anything about measuring hybrid string jobs, where you use one tension on mains and another on crosses. Have you tried it on that?

Ouch on the stress frac; that can't feel very good. My ankle seems to be holding up better since I started wearing an Ace Tek Zone deluxe ankle brace. Still hurts after a match, but nothing like the excruciating pain I felt before. At least I can run down some balls now that I just looked at before. How much longer do you have to stay on the sidelines?

Wouldn't you like to play that jerk from the adult tournament and league thread, the one who puts tennis above wife and family? First time I have ever wanted to deliberately hit a guy in the 'nads. We should take odds on when his marriage hits the rocks.

How's Mrs. JRS doing, by the way? Hope everything is running true to form.

You measure hybrid string jobs by hitting both types of strings and averaging them.

Just imagine what I wanted to do to him.

Yeah, either he's a massive jerk or just lying. I think he's lying/ Don't see anyone marrying that...

Mrs. JRS is doing well and the twins are healthy. I think she's ready to get this over with soon. Twins generally don't go full term, so I wouldn't be surprised if these were June babies. I might end up with a surprise birthday gift... LOL!

LOL. I picture a combo of Torquemada and the Marquis de Sade. Am I close?

BTW, how much weight do you think Serena has lost? She looks almost skinny. Maybe she finally figured out how many more tourneys she could win if she got in shape.

That's true, plus she'll probably have a C/S. I saw lots of those during my rotation, but never any twins!!! Exciting!!!

I *heart* the Marquis de Sade! hahahaha

I was thinking she looks much more fit, too...you can tell in her middle for sure. She's leaned out. I would attribute it to her probably just eating cleaner than working out harder. She is so naturally muscular it is hard to say or guess what she does. But she is moving very well, and that means she is fit. And it means everyone else has to look out, because when she's moving well she's in position, and when she's in position she's deadly!

Me...I was moving as if stuck in tar this morning. Definitely NOT in position! So, not deadly at all. Still eeked out a win (even though the score was dominant, the play wasn't)...against a self-rated 3.0 that would have beaten the 3.5 I beat last night. Wonky wonky ratings these days.

Thanks for the article, good read. And yes, I still have your digits. And no, I will not go over your house to play "pong"! But I'm up for some "Table Tennis", but it's been nearly 2 decades since I played.

We sure can get some court time if you like. Fallston is cool, no problem there. And you if you like to do some doubles, and don't mind driving down to Towson, I can arrange a couple folks. Granted, they would be shocked senseless with your ultra high kick serves.
