$50,000 is not worth a day in the klank. It's for future job prospects. Jailtime is always associated with convictions. And employers frown on convictions.

So its more than speeding? If its DUI, your are pretty much hosed either way. I doubt an attorney will do any diferent than public defender. Probably have to enter a program and probably get license suspended for a year.

If you already had suspended liscense and were drivinf with suspended licesnse you will probably get time regardless as well.

But still DUE, and wreckless driving carry max fine of 1000 bucks for 1st offense. So half your fine will be going to lawyer with no garuntee you still wont get max. And 1st offense max jail is 1 year. Id wager with defender or lawyer you will end up with 500 fine and 1yr probation. If there was alchohol involved look forward to AA and some safe driver program.

you may even want to look into AA or safe driver and start before the trial and let the Judge know that you feel bad and already started doing what you felt you needed to do to get your life back on the straight and narrow.

Obviulsy if you were drifting a corner and plucked a kid i got completly different advice.

i feel like a DUI would cost more than $500...so i'm guessing we can rule that out...drag racing? driving reckless? hitting a parked cop car after purchasing hot dogs and pert plus?

either way...just pay for the lawyer or pay the fine or whatever...and move on...

what's for lunch people?

I think he meant 500 bucks to pay the lawyer. The whatever fine fine and other cost would be be separate.

Tell you what Zap, give me 200 bucks and Ill make sure you dont go to jail. I know this guy that works on the port in BMore hes a Stevadore and in the union. We can get you on a boat and you go work in another countyr loading heroin on boats. Ther is good money and if you show promis they can arrange your death and get you a new birth certificate and you can back to the US and sell heroin and make bank. I bet that Lawyer can do that for you.

if sup can put together a met from FL then Zap can surely schedule something from prison with the 1 phone call he's entitled to.

all this beating around the bush. why don't you just tell us what you "allegedly" did zap? that way we can help you either stay out of jail, not spend a lot of money you don't have or have to attend your own funeral as phil shiftly.

maybe we should list 5 potential locations and then pick from those? otherwise there might be 9 different votes for the court closest to their house...

u will prob get 1 yr probation and some in fines. don't do anything dumb or say anything unless ur told to by the judge or counsel. u will be OK. I am still wondering unless u did a dui, the only other thing that warrants a court showing is reckless, for the standard 500 to 1200 range. it couldn't be that bad, if it is, u will be in the klank already asking us about bail instead.
well from what they told me they will put me to trial even if i dont have a lawyer, so they suggest i get one so i dont get screwed. my parents dont know about this. but yea good call i am going to act real remorseful, etc.

i hope i get probation. i cant do jail time. if i get jail time, you guys wont see me in the MAC anymore

ok ok. i didnt want to post this public. but basically i got pulled over. then officer says i am driving with suspended liscense. so now i gotta go to trial for that. so HW are you serious about doing time for having suspended liscense?????? this cannot be happening. there was no DUI or alcohol or anything crazy.

Zap, chances are you are probably going to extend your suspension. What was the reason for the suspension? Were you coming back from work? If so, you can tell that to the judge. Not sure if Maryland is a right to work state.
