Hey thanks man, I really appreciate it... us "JRs" got to stick together.

Yeah, I might go play tonight instead of Kendo practice.

Believe it or not TFM, TheJRK (now I'm talking like Sup2dresq) used to play at a fairly high level of tennis. I'm like the main character from Balls of Fury... maybe I need to train at the Mushu Palace.

I was kinda thinking about going tonight...

Oh, and I just signed up for the ACTA league and I contacted the USTA person for the NOVA league. She posted my name as someone in need of a team, so please pimp me out to any captains you know of.

If they ask you if I'm good just reply with, "Uhhh, well he's really tall..."
I'm thinking of going tonight. See you there if I go.

JRK, Sup has gone, and I think he said there was some good competition...definitely check it out. Although I am a member, I've actually never gone to the Friday night things...Fridays are usually my only night that I don't play or work out.

Plus, I'm already there Mon, Tue, Thur, and Sat...so enough is enough!!!

JRK - Check your e-mail. Looks like you're on "Well Strung." You'll need to Join USTA if you haven't done so already.

Yeah, cool. I'm a USTA member already so I'm good to go, and I just figured out what the name of the team "meant"... yeah, I'm a little slow today.

Sup - I guess I'll see ya tonight at Skyline if you go.

Just screen names..... no real names.

You played well last night. By far in the top 4 of the group. Keep up the good work.

Guys welcome Hewittfan22. Another asian contigent, with a solid game. He is young and hungry and can hit his serve PP style. He reminds me a little of Shcmad, and has a huge interest in the game.

Welcome Hewittfan22.

Subscribe to the chapter thread. It moves quickly.

I was at the vet... I got home and one of my dogs had thrown up, but there was like blood or something in the throw-up, yeah I know, nasty.

So I took her to the vet, $300 later they tell me she's fine, just a little dehydrated and they gave her some meds. I was thinking about still showing up late but I would've got the third degree from my wife.

Me - "Hey honey, the dog threw up blood but anyway I'm gonna go play tennis."

Her - You !%$&!

Your simple suggestion last night on my serve made a big difference so thanks for that. Any suggestion on customizing pure drive roddick plus?? I went to ******** today and purchased pure drive roddick plus, i ve been wanting to get this racquet for a long time. If someone else is intreste in getting your Aero pro drive you can pass it on to them, i just couldnt find the power that i wanted from aero drive sorry.

Welcome to the TW MAC Hewittfan.

As a fellow PDR user, I say throw some Blue Gear string into that bad boy and enjoy.

How you are playing now, I would of suggested to keep those racquets and use a string set up that helps create some more spin, something that you could use to your advantage. Like Blue Gear Pro Supex.

We have 1 member who uses the PDR.. but not the plus. I myself used the PD XL back in my college days and loved it. I put lead on the sides. Here are some pictures from my retired racquet. Maybe you can play around with my old set up.

Thanks for the pic. Do you recommend putting leather grip on pure drive roddick plus? Have you ever tried putting lead at the top(12'o clock position)?

Sup - what did your achieve with the set up? More stability - power?

Just curious.

Leather grip is a preference first, and it also changes your set up. Leather tends to be a bit heavier so it will change the swing weight. Some peeps like the cushy synthetics, but leather is harsh and more importantly gives you ball feedback. I enjoy leather for the fact it helps me feel the bevels of the grip.

I have tried 12' o clock. It helps with the serve, but with an XL, I don't see why you would need it. The extra length would give you the leverage lead would provide. Just my opinion.

Remember my racquet was an original PD, not a Roddick or full of supposed Woofer technology. It was not as stable as I needed. When I put that lead on, I was able to drive through the ball like no other racquet I've played with yet. If you are a topspin player, it wont hurt you, but when you decide to flat it, that stability helped. Also, the lead was huge for returns. I had a lot of big serves that still give me nightmares shot my way. I had to keep the darn racquet from twisting.

I cannot remember, is your racquet an XL. I didn't think it was.

Sup
