Also thanks for getting me into the dubs club yesterday. Some really good players in that group. I need to up my game. The same old wookie frying pan hands are back at net, Ugh! Seriously, I missed about 10 poach volleys in a row, but recoved with a back-hand volley cross court winner to close out the game.

Guess I did okay as CM said he would put me on the list for future hits.

BTW- Did downs get the double bump yet?

I havent even checked that crap. But Im pretty sure sub 500 record in the 5 matches I played mixed keeps me steady in the 4.0 range. I always like be being a gatekeeper 3.5.

Its like if you can beat me you are good enough to get destroyed by 4.0.

If you can hang and keep it close then you have a littel work to do.

If I destroy you you have alot of work to do.

But playing 8.5 mixed with two 4.0s is not fun. 4.5 dudes wont even hit it to me and when thye do its always to my backhand. They need to atleast once in a while let me blast a FH sometimes.

Im pretty sure Im still 4.0. I dont even know If my USTA membeship expired or not. If it did I dont think I will re-up it. Probably wont play mixed this year even though it was fun hanging out PPL and a younger. But I always felt out of place when they would talk about college and other stuff smart people would talk about.

yea those were the days. I was probably the only 3.5 in the history of tennis with a 5.5 serve and 1.5 everything else.

Just be lucky I didnt have a ball machine grwoing up or I would have been like jim courier with an ugly but effective baseball like 2 hander

Yes, I have clawed my way to 4.0! Only took....a lot of years. Haha! Funny, I may be the only one I know who is *excited* about moving up.

Downs, I know, but it is EXCELLENT news for our 4.0 singles team! haha! I'm trying to convince her to be my 4.0 dubs partner when I'm not duking it out in singles! I was actually thinking of appealing, until I remembered B ratings can't. Haha! Just to see what would happen.

Our 7.5 combo teams are a bit of a joke now, aren't they?

TM....congrats!!! Lots of guys got bumped to 4.5! It seems like everyone who didn't get bumped, got bumped this year! Its all the same guys!

went out tried to hit this morning. found out that a sure sign that it is no longer tennis weather is when balls don't want to bounce. therefore, I am going to my local shop and get regular duty balls. dang even my strings feel dead in the cold.

tmonk, congrads to ur recent promotion. don't be so discouraged. it could be worst remember when sensai got DQ'ed for the past 15 matches when he got a disgruntled 3.5 opponent calling 1800-sandbag to the usta police.

Well, well, well. Topaz and AQ are 4.0s, eh?

I'd say congratulations, but I can't spare the saliva. I am too busy licking my wounds. 4.0, she is a beach, I'm tellin' ya.

The computer did some funky things around here. KH and MR are still 3.5s. Go figure. And one of my 3.5 singles players, NMS, won all of her singles matches and eeked out a tie against someone who bumped up, and she stayed 3.5.

The good news is that my combo team lives! Only one lady bumped up from 3.5 to 4.0. Which means we are in the hunt to make 7.5 Combo Districts again!!
