Depends. Right now I'm staying Saturday night but heading home early Sunday to play an 8.0 'old persons' match w/ my wife. But if we make it to the finals, we will have a match Sunday @ 6PM, so I may stay if it looks like I'll be needed.

PaulMan - rdis200 was smooth, comfy, plush, and had a good power and decent spin. i sort of messed it up by making them longer and making the SW ridiculously high. but even when i unmodded them, i played better with the head igSpeeds. more control and easier to get spin on serves.

~~~~
have i mentioned the vcore89 phase is over already? just not enough spin for me. i also realized that i had messed up my blxpros and igspeeds by adding lead at 12oclock and jacked the swingweight and balance.
the only thing the vcore89 does better for me is backhands and 1st serves. but my game depends on a reliable 2nd serve (that is harder than my 1st.. har) im going to remove the lead off my other racquets and try them again.
if i can fix my backhand stroke with the blxpro or igspeed... i think my match play will be better served with an easier racquet. blxpro gives me more ability to blast through the court but igspeed has spin and lots of control. sigh... if i played more i might be able to actually figure this out.
~~~
anybody want a barely used 1x vcore89? no skratchez! im asking TW if they will take it back or give me any value for it.

Oh wow...yeah, guess that is a risk when the league is so small. GP isn't on your team is he?

So, you're playing 40+?

Thanks Dats. Huh, I would have thought the RDIS200 would have impressive control and massive spin - such open string pattern. So much more open than APD too, which gets quite a bit of spin.

oh it hits nicely!. it feels like a plush/flexy pure drive. i actually used it over the igSpeed for a while based on the amazing feel alone. it has a heavy solid feel that really pancakes the ball... but not the most maneuverable frame for me.

Got half a set of 17g Prince Beast I want to try. Wondering if I should put in some good multi (cross) to offset any harshness for this poly? If not, I'll just cross it with some el'cheapo OGSM 17g and string it low.
Just got my 3rd NYC from RPNY. Going to play it near stock. Only minimum lead on 12 and 6 and bridge. Even enticed to just put some heavy tape on the bumper guard.

I think GP is on the team -- right, McLovin? But his first priority is his NOVA team...

Actually, he was not on our Tri Level team. I think he had too many mixed leagues going at the time to play for us.

In retrospect, he should have played for us seeing as how his team (Big Shots) came in 3rd.

I assume so. He's been on it for the past 3 years, but I think this year our captain is going to ask he declare which team he will go to the beach on. Not that he won't play if he declares for another team, but we need to know a priori (I love using that term) so we can qualify enough players.

Last year we almost got screwed by having exactly 8 players for the weekend as Vinnie & GP declared for their NOVA team. Luckily no one got hurt, but we still ended up 1 match short of advancing to the final round.

Our 4.5 club team went to Nationals this year. I did not play on it though. At Nationals, a few teams had ex D1 players recently out of college. I think with the 40+ restriction, if we can keep the same nucleus of guys then we have a shot this year. Only 1 guy on our team was under 40 and he is around 35 and was more or less a sub.

Wait...ex-D1 as a 4.5?!?! How the hell did that pass without some sort of protest? Our D3 college players were bumped to 5.0 after 1 season, and they didn't even wait until November. They were bumped immediately after Districts.

We talked about doing a 40+ 4.5 team (most of our players are 40+), but we would have to drive to NOVA for every match. We have a hard enough time getting everyone to play at home. 40+ minute drive ain't happening...

One guy was from Texas A&M. You can't get disqualified in Nationals so there is nothing our captain could do. The guy will be bumped after this season for sure. Our #2 singles guy had to play #1, so we were missing our line 1 singles player. Still, our #2 hardly ever loses to anyone at the Club and he managed just a few games.

Can we start a 2+ league? Must have 2 or more kids to play. Childcare during matches is part of the league fees

Sure, why not?! I've got 3 but my oldest (11) is responsible enough to watch my youngest (5), so no I really don't have the childcare issue as much as you have with your Bri and twins...haha

Jrs,

Now that's a great idea about 2+. The matches will have to be shortened and yelling out for daddy requires an immediate 5 minute break. So best 2 out of 3 games. No ads. 1 serve. 2 tennis balls. 15 seconds between points.

LOL! I have a feeling Bri will be pulling in some baby sitting dollars in the future.

If it gets me on the courts I'm for it!

I'll sign up for that. You can even play at the courts next to my place.

Has 2 jungle gym setups. My admission is the following:

JRStriker: One bottle of your homemade hot sauce
Paulman: One hacksaw racquet job
tmonkey: One Serve lesson
dats: What's the burrito that you got last time?
zappy: hotdog and bottle of shampoo
sap: use of his towing hitch in dc to park my car.
downs: location of the gyro shop again (wanted to go last time when I was at Vienna)
