Haha, that's right...Sappy leaves...comes back into the restaurant about five minutes later with kind of this glint in his eyes, little silly grin, and says 'Where am I? No, really, where am I?'.

JRK straightened him out though...I think!

And thanks for securing the courts, JRK...did anyone ever show up to play on the other courts? That may be a nice site for future large meet ups.

Also, and I mentioned this to Sup last night as well, but Hains Point has lots of courts, and personally I've really enjoyed playing in that setting....right on the river, monuments in the distance.

Ack! I totally forgot!

JRK -- how much do we owe you for the courts? or can we pay you in beer?

Hollywood -- i owe you one more beer. i didn't think you'd break 115 let alone hit a 123 mph anomaly. i blame Sup because it was looking like you weren't going to win. you DID hit a lot more than 25 serves but a bet's a bet.

So ashamed!!!
That picture and video perfectly documents that my weird "wrist thing" has come back in my serve. i thought i had fixed that. back to the drawing board!
(thanks for snapping that Sup so i know it still needs work! lots of work)
looks like I might have to give Randy a call at Skyline afterall!

Man, that first beer tasted SOOO good.
Good job organizing and it was great to see so many people on the courts!

It's a "gift".

I really enjoyed hitting with you and our time out there. You def need to come to more. When we get an official big meeting.. you'll love it.

Prizes, round robin, lots of food.. and of course the pleasure of hearing/being around TFM during a BBQ.

Glad to have you around.

Sup

Very nice meet up with everyone. I never really got to play with the JRStriker crowd, but Im sure there will be other times.

After leaving the Guapo's Vitaly took me back to my car at Wakefield. Jumped in the car, decided to go across woodrow wilson bridge to see if I caould see the sculture thingyat the national harbour from the bridge.

Lucky for me woodrow wilson is 1 lane at night so it took me 40 minutes to get over that piece of crap. And I couldnt see the sculpture thingy to begin with. Finally got home at 230 AM and promptly went too bed. Know I gotta wash my bedding this weekend

Topaz,

The courts stated to fill up once you left. there were actually people waiting to use them.

TFM,

Of the serves that were actually recorded for speed I still think I hit less than 25. And Vitaly and I are under the belief that a few of the ones up the T that no speed gort recodered because my rather large body interfered appeared to be faster than the actual 125.

Schmad,

I can remeber I f I hit you or not while I was trying to get the speed going. If I did I'm sorry

That was a legedary meet last night. Of course me and K got there late so we played an hour of tennis, but thinking of last night bring a smile to my sleepy face. Didn't get home till 1am - but no sleeping on the couch Topaz.

The sombrero incident was classic!!!

Thanks for the warning Xisbum. Hmmm... I might have to use this to my advantage - a raise if I help your team win a few games.

Feel free to borrow the inner wookie Topaz. I think I need to find him again after that beat down by Chris and the "Prodigy." The other dude who challenged me was just talking smack. He's always to injured to play and back up his words.

I think it could be a semi- regular thing. Seems like we end up at towers, etc every other thursday. I'd be in for regular reservations at Wakefield if we can organize it.

Apparently it worked. Topaz won a match! I repeat.. Topaz won a match!

Now Federer will go on a tear, gas prices will go down, real estate market will improve... and perhaps... Shcmad will discover topsin.

P.S. Way to rock the Nadal green sleeveless...
I knew things had to swing back in balance sometime. I had to admit, you got me with that "Aha!!" thing. and "The Prodigy" was really good. But I was looking kinda fly in the green sleeveless.

Great mini-meet last night, guys (and gals)!

Hollywood - You have a great serve, though one of your first serves struck my left hand. I was trying to be all macho and suck it up, but it did hurt a bit.

Sup - This isn't necessarily directed to anyone, but it looks like someone enjoyed playing doubles with the prodigy co-worker... In less than a second, I see someone from the other end of the courts rushing to court #3 to start a doubles match, and choosing partners at will... :P

TFM - I know that Sup paid you last night prior my arrival to joke about my lack of topspin. I know you yourself wouldn't make fun of me. Right?
During that doubles match, I didn't eyeball anybody! I didn't even know where you were positioned when I hit that forehand.

It certainly looks like I missed the great one. When you guys gonna have a meet in Asia since many of the members are originally from here??

Tommy, I am calling you the man for good reasons. Didn't you had the best day of all at the meet?

Things here are filled with ups and downs. After all, this is Thailand. Some s**t in here ****es you off, but you also have some good trade offs, so can't complain much.

I hope you guys can make it to Thailand Open. Just ask Sup for a free plane ticket.

Haha, lot's of fun last night. It's nice to play tennis, drink, and then only have to drive 3 minutes to get home.

tfm - Don't worry about the court cost, it was really cheap, plus I didn't pay for my drinks or food last night, so thanks to who ever chipped in for me. Yeah, and my serving was funny and sad, all at the same time. Later on, it was just plain sad.

Some quotes from last night...

tfm - What's it gonna be, ace or double fault... oohhhh, double fault!

hollywood - Where is this bar everyone's at?
me - <matter of fact tone> In Shirlington Village.
hollywood - Thanks dude, that f***ing helps a lot.

prodigy - <hitting with me> What grip are you using on your forehand?
me - Uhhh, full western why?
prodigy - Nothing, just haven't seen one of those in a long time...
me - <wtf look>

sap - <walking over> Hey where's the bathroom?
me - Over there
sap - Hey should I tell the waiter it's Sup's birthday?
me - Yeah, do it, that would be funny as *****.
sap - <sneaks over to the waiter, gives me the thumbs up>

sap - Hey, want another beer?
me - Sure.
sap - What kind?
me - <showing him Modelo Negro bottle>
sap - <leaves to go get beer... comes back with three Blue Moons, hands me one> Sorry man, my spanish isn't very good.

Sorry, I forgot to pay you, JRK. Thanks for reserving the courts. And thanks for sticking with me for doubles, even though we lost.
