Well, I pretty much stalk you so it didn’t take that long…kidding, it took forever! I remember you posted something funny in the Ladies only thread, and so I stopped and wondered to myself “what topic would ShcMad have posted about in this thread?” and lo and behold on January 27th 2007 this little gem appeared.

Bad jokes are the best kind, and I hear ‘wack-a-mole’ is a great way to practice overheads.

I heard of him last year, where he played Ancic in the QF’s of St. Petersburg, and I’ve always followed his results since then. And he’s coached by Niki Pilic who’s worked with Becker, Goran, Ljubicic, Ancic, and most recently Djokovic and from what I’ve heard Pilic sees a lot of potential in him, as do I. I’ve seen him play singles and doubles for Latvia in DC, and he’s. He kind of reminds me of Ancic mixed with Djokovic, if that’s imaginable, but we’ll see where he goes in time.


Well, I figured since he’d be in NY he’d probably get tons of pics of pros we all know, but he wouldn’t know to look out for Gulbis. Just alerting you to a good player to watch out for!

haha. barely. every day without tennis is another day off my lifespan. work sucks big time. i am considering quitting. by the way MrHan my company is paying for me to get MSRSA certified or whatevr the string organization is. i am gonna be an official stringer ^_____^

oh i forgot to mention-someone else brought it up-i did finally move! i currently reside in chevy chase, off western ave. the neighborhood is super nice and everything isnice but the house is a crackhouse, so i am looking to relocate again. anyone know someone thats renting a place out? help!

What do I need to do to join this illustrious group of mid-atlantic tennis players? Sacrifice a goat? Bark at the moon and post the vid on youtube? Slap a nun? What is the initiation rite?

I used to play quite a lot and even spent summers teaching at Four Star Tennis Academy. It's probably been 20 years since I've played competitively though, so I have no idea what my NTRP rating would be. The US Open has me itching to get back into the game.
How often do you guys meet up to play? How old are you all (at 41 don't mind being the old fart, but just wondering)?

I think people generally just meet up randomly, though it has been kind of quiet lately. Some people are going 'back to school', but there are plenty of us left!

LOL, that's true I just mean he looks like he still has some baby fat around the face. Oh, and the freshman 15 ain't happening to me. Playing tennis + eating healthy + not drinking beer = same weight, sitting around + partying every night = freshman 15. Sorry you live in a crack house, by the way.

It's been a long time since I taught there, but when I was working there, they had camps at UVA, Yale, and Mercersberg Academy in PA. I taught at all three at one time or another. Great memories from those summers.

Whats going on? On days i'm able to hit after work I usually go down to the park across from Pentagon City mall or to the Courts over by the public library in Balston. Although if courts get busier ath either place I'll opt to go hit at the courts up at GTown U, once practice is over anyways.

I also play up in silver spring, MD on the weekends as there is a club near my house up there.

Hey now... never say you don't think your good enough to be on a team. I played #4 singles in highscool and made it onto my college team as a walk on. Granted if you go somewhere like Stanford, UGA, Illinois, etc its a little tougher to do so but with the right school/program and hard work you never know
