JRS, are there no reliable teenagers around you who are desperate for babysitting money?

Or is Bri still a bit too young for that?

I haven't found any young teens for the quick baby sit. Need to work on that. Still, I get home pretty late and the wife is pretty good with letting me get out to play, so weekends are really the best time to spend with Bri. Still wish I could make it, but that's the breaks sometime. I'll make the next one.

Ahahaha, very good Auzzie!

BTW, WTOP says we're down to a 30 percent chance of a thunderstorm on Saturday now:

Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 80s. Chance of rain 30 percent.

I think we're going to be fine...worst case, it rains, moves through, and we just have to wait for the courts to dry.

Or, we could make Sappy towel them down! (I would say Zap, but he won't be there!)

Default location?

i'll throw out an idea ...

18 courts
Olney Manor Recreational Park
16601 Georgia Avenue Olney
http://www.mc-mncppc.org/parks/park_...kday_apr9.shtm

my parents place (they are out of town) has a grill, heated pool, jacuzzi, billiards, ms. pac-man arcade, karaoke stage w/ disco lights
is 2 min by car from the courts.

i'll confirm avail if this is a maybe. is this of interest? no prob if another location is more convenient. also, don't get the wrong idea ... my parents place is very nice but not a palace or anything.

I'm hoping for good weather as well (40% chance of rain at the moment). Skunk can bring hot pockets as a good joke.. though JRK may just eat them all.

We will know the outcome in 24 hours. I will have an update then.

In the meantime. If you havent responded with a RSVP or a tentative.. please do!

p.s. I am really enjoying the new Sharapova Canon commercial.

Oh yes .. i know the place. TFM and Sappy know the place. Its a large park with many many courts. They do have a sort of stage area for a picnic. Now since this is a holiday weekend, it may be pretty full. Still the Magma Parental Unit afterwards sounds very entertaining. You may never get Sapient to leave.

*Magmas parents come home*
Magma Parent: Who the hell are you
Sappy : *Eating a block of cheese out of the frig*.. Welcome home dad/mom
Magma P: Call the police!
Sappy: I'll get my pants..

Thanks for the offer.. sounds like a nice place. Still need a little time to get things in order. I still want to check out the weather forecast as well.

"jerky". Nothing is smooth about the guy, except how he picks up supermodels at the bar.

P.S. That foot fault in the 4th was so wrong. I wonder if those people worked at Shiloh ....
That was a sheisty foot fault call. I was surprised. I am also surprised Safin kept things together... Now back to the POGOS

Dont give Shcmad a bad impression.. Safin did not keep it together. He sat down .. though there was still a point to play.. he left the stadium after the set to argue with the head director dude.

He did bring it together afterwards. Still Safin is a head case.. as well as having a "jerky" technique.

POGOS. I know somene with 2.

"jerky"? Bahaha, sounds like somebody is jealous of Safin's smooth strokes.

POGOS? I had one of those as a kid! Great fun!

Wish I could have seen the Spadea/Safin match! *hmph*

Edit: Got a text message from a friend who was watching the Safin match at the time though...but no pictures!

Was planning on doing sprints/conditioning tonight but got a last minute call for tennis..so I went out to hit.

Wow! I was on Fire tonight. Hit with a lefty who teaches out in Reston, we only played one set but I came through 6-3. Of course it helped that his first serve wasn't hitting tonight, but I'll take the unofficial - playing for fun "W."

From WTOP:

Today should be a relatively cool and cloudy day as the area of low pressure (formerly Fay) moves closer. Showers are in the southwestern section of the region this morning and progressing slowly northeast. This means metro showers are not likely until the afternoon and evening hours. Highs should reach the low to mid 70s. Thursday should see the bulk of the rainfall as the area of low pressure passes through and northward, however it does still appear the heaviest rain remains west of the city. Highs will once again only reach the low to mid 70s with a chance for rain throughout the day. Any amount of rain will be great for our area which has been in a big deficit for the month.

This system will pull out to the north on Friday but there will continue to be a chance for a few showers or thunderstorms on Friday, then another chance on Saturday as a cold front pushes through. Highs should return to the mid 80s by the end of the week and into the weekend.

*************

I still think we're going to be fine. Though, being at a place with someplace to go inside is a nice option.
