Sup you gots mail on the kix from TWMAC Ashburn.......

Holla back!

I'm prepared to sweat tonight. I have a nice callus on my racket hand so Sup won't burn a hole in my palm this time.

And no..... the callus is not from what you are thinking....

Topaz, any suggestions from getting to Skyline from West Falls Church and lessen the impact of traffic? I'm not trying to go missing in 7 corners - VA's own Bermuda Triangle. If things go right, I should be there by 6:15.

I wish Auzzie, Vitaly, TFM and Sappy would of done a clinic. I think Sappy would of had a good time running around trying to talk his way into a break:

Ways Sappy tries:

-Sup is that beer?
-Sup what nike shoes should i get?
-Sup is that beer?
-Sup what is wrong with my forehand... etc?
-Sup my strings knots are coming undone?
-Sup the stock market is killing me.. how about you?
-Sup is that beer?
-Wanna try some percocet?

1. i tried drinking while percocet-ed up with tfm and "friend" just tuesday and found it to be great. 1/2 pint in and i felt doom creeping around the corner. i knew anymore would of sent me mistiming getting on the metro by landing right in front of a train or directly behind it on the tracks. however i've made mental notes to attempt this next time in a more controlled environment

2. during the same event above, tfm convinced me adidas was the way to go. so i ended up getting 4 pairs of janks between thumber and i.

3. stock market is still killing me. i've resorted to just buying lotto.. i think i'd have a better chance in that

4. i sorta tweaked the same injured calf muscle trying to walk down the metro escalator today. so
a. year of the wookie is not over
b. i think i'm done with sports this year

Get on Leesburg Pike (rt 7) and go east. Don't get off rt 7 until you're turning right at the intersection of rt 7 and S. Jefferson (see previous directions).

Though, honestly, I don't live out there and don't travel that way...maybe someone else will have suggestions? Or, at the risk of sounding snarky...mapquest it?

Hey, guys, I just took a dry run to Skyline, and it's no lark. It was easier getting into some of the TS-Crypto places at which I worked during my Navy days. These folks think highly of their little health club.

Of course, we're coming for the tennis and the physical abuse from Sup, right? *loading up on protein and energy bars as I type*

Yes, it is a bit tricky, but after the first time, you'll be fine. It is actually a *very* nice club. I'm posting the parking directions again, just in case...

Also, you guys will be fine with this tonight, but when you are 6-8, you may have to take a ticket in the underground lot. Do NOT worry, you will not have to pay for parking. By the time you leave, the gate will be open. If you are still worried, your ticket can be validated at the desk in the club for FREE parking.

Go down ramp, make left, drive straight, park. Go to elevator, hit 'C', walk out, turn right into the tennis lounge area. If you are early, please enjoy a wheat grass shot (blech) from the juice bar!

They are; I came straight home to watch my beloved Dodgers beat up on the poor Cubbies.

We're all still standing, so we survived Night One of Sup's boot camp.

Thanks, 'Wood. Good story; cuts to the chase like a professional writer should. Manny DELIVERS, and that's what professionals ball players are supposed to do.

Nice hitting tonight; you were very tough in the free play after Sup's clinic. Very tough. And JRK was no patsy, either. We gotta figure out a way to return those boomers you guys like to hit.

You and (overseas) Skunk may have company. I was talking up TWMAC today to a self-proclaimed 4.0 lady in my restaurant. "Lady" sounds old, she is probably in Vitaly's age bracket: 6 years old (after a couple beers)-85 years old (after a couple sets)

Whew! Good to hear you all survived!

Wish I could have joined you guys, but I had to jet off to a match...maybe next time.

Lost said match in third set tiebreaker. Still haven't figured out how, even though I played *really* well, to...you know...WIN! Played with a new partner who hadn't touched her racquet in two months, but still...ENOUGH ALREADY! NO MAS!

*shooting dirty glance at the wookie*

I have a fun filled day of meetings ahead of me...blah, blah, blah.

Though meetings full of music teachers are sometimes surprising!

Ah, and will she be joining us at some point?

Not sure when we're going to have our next meet/mini-meet, but it better be soon, 'cause I had to bring out the down comforter last night! *brrrrrr*

Clinic went well I thought. The first one is just to see what I got myself into. It should and will get harder after yesterday.

Things that I went pleasantly well:

-Hollywood has better footwork than I expected. The three forehand drill really showcased with motivation, HW can deliver. Now if he can get those volleys to stick (remember try not to open up that racquet face as much).
-Xisbum is the energizer bunny. He just kept going and going. He really never slowed down once. Impressive.
-TheJRK never looked more consistent than last night. After a slow start, I really never saw him miss to many or by much. Concentration to a maximum, elasticity supreme. Several volley twist around no looks patent JRK.
-The Wookie showed no remorse. I had to keep an eye on him. Why cause he would crack it and it would beam me near the midsection. Just kidding, I'm so use to be in the line of fire that im not too concerned. Now if he can stop chopping down on his volleys, we may have a winna!

Next week boys (and girls)... its backhand and footwork drills. The around the cone drill kills me... I pity the fool.
