Dell's out of stock - ship date may be 3-4 weeks, but it's worth it for the price.

Will do. The supa-clinic was more about accuracy and depth. Not too much sweat today.

seemed like it was about alot of missing today. I couldn't get the ball deep no matter how many lead strips I put on that frame.

Yeah, it's hard to get it that deep accurately. You did pretty good though. I don't think it was the weight of the frame. You got plenty of pop with that racket.

I can wail on the ball more with that frame because it is lighter, but I am not as consistent when hitting or mixing up the play with angles or spin. That frame begs to bash the ball. A little more flashy, but not as dependable. I can hit first serves a little better with the frame, but spinning second serves in is not as effective. I can crack flat forehands, but topspinning the ball to the corner (as per the drill) is no bueno. etc.

So the frame search continues? Sounds like you should just go to vantage and get a super-flexy custom frame made to your specs.

And yeah, I will keep up the racquet search. Vantage doesn't have flexy os, but I hear there frames are more cushy than spec. I would totally rock a white vantage frame with white overgrip.

i'm on zanax and percocet and that chocolate rain song doesn't make any sense to me. what am i missing? someone enlighten me because i'm old and my finger that used to be on the pulse of what's hot is now too busy checking my own pulse.
chocolate salty balls by south park's chef is far superior to this kid. okay gotta eat and go back to bed and come up with lyrics to kimchi rain. "kimchi rain. it's so stinky but it's worth the pain. kimchi rain." |

<Waiting around to see if I have to go to Prague next week>
Anyone hitting this weekend? Might be the last chance to hit outdoors before it gets too cold. I'm not playing in my last ACTA match so let me know if anyone wants to hit around. |

Played with TennisHustler from Seattle this evening. He is very consistent, extremely good footwork, scrappy, and has great hands at net. He reminds me of Pat Rafter. He would just rally from the baseline, consistent serve, and then just charge the net whenever he had a chance. He probably won most of the points when he was up there. And despite not being too tall of a player, I only got one lob over his head in the entire two sets (it was a lucky flick lob after his first volley had me really scrambling). I was able to pull out the "w" 6-1, 6-4.
Which leads me to my next point, the Wilson Steffi is getting das boot. I actually played better with the way-to-long Yonex Pro RD 70 because the extra length was getting me more kick and pace on serve and groundies (so he couldn't charge the net as easily on me). I could also slow down my strokes more with the RD 70, so that meant fewer errors. The RD 70 does give really good spin- definite plus. The Wilson Steffi, once again, forced me to take cuts I don't feel comfortable taking. Flashier winners and more errors because of the lighter weight. Played 3 games with it and put it down for fear of getting myself into a hole. Both of the aforementioned frames need to go though. Maybe some original Donnay's will fall out of the sky...

Auz have you tried a prince graphite classic over size or the NXG graphite oversize?
Also fischer has a pro no1 105. only 10.9 ozs but has 58 stiffness. Thats all I can think of.

I tried Sap's POGOS at the meet at JRK's in the summer. Didn't get much of a hit with it, but it felt slow and heavy. My shots were going long. I tried the NXG 100 (not OS)- not bad, that was a long time ago. And I haven't tried that 105 mpro, but I did try the ones that Josh had. Not too bad.
You hit with the Donnay on Thursday. Didn't you say something along the lines of: I understand why you like this. You were playing pretty well with it yourself.
