Anyone here planning on entering the "Herndon Indoor Men's Open Holiday Classic"? It runs the week between X-mas & New Years and usually has a very strong draw. Last year I had the privilege to lose in the 2nd round to a player from Florida State, who had beaten the #1 seed in previous round. The #1 seed played for Colgate. Many UVA/Tech/Mason players enter this as well because they are home for the holidays.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that. Anybody here know what the going rate is to "get your butt handed to you" down on Dupont Circle?

LOL!

With former college players and strong ranked players, JRS will take that money and use it toward his next xbox game. A lot less painful than either the Herndon Indoor or Dupot Circle option.

I'd definitely be up for some bowling when I return, hopefully Shcmad will come along..if he isn't too busy being such an alcoholic. tsk tsk Siccy.

Also, the MAC will be relieved to know the worst of Siccy's illness seems to have passed. However, upon returning to VT he has had a flare up of the PP-itis.

Less than that stupid worldgate fiasco I played in.

Well no, but really, why aren't you a USTA member? You'd be able to play in lots more tournaments. It is easy to join...you can do it online in a matter of minutes.

I was on a cruise over the Thanksgiving holiday (no internet, phone or news), but I had a bunch of stuff going on in preparation for it, so my time here was really limited over the last month

JRS, I don't have that game, but I was thinking about getting it for my daughters for X-mas (Wii version). They love the tennis that came w/ the set, so thought I might try the new version.

Oh, and I recently switched to the Fischer M-Comp 95, so if anyone is interested in hitting w/ it, let me know (I have 3). Now that soccer season is over, I can breath a bit here & there. The Fischer is very much a control-oriented stick. Not much power, but very stable around the net. I don't think I have ever hit my backhand better.
