Default Schuettler Goes Down to Arthurs, Sharapova advances!

So does Corretja with a tight win over Robredo. Great day for my troops as Andre also won, obiviously. My Arthurs prediction was right, I knew it! Anyone actually see the match? Maria gave me a scare but she knows what she's doing. GREAT DAY!! YIPEE!!!

HAHHAAA. Poor baby Schuettler. I love this, isn't he 2-5 on the year now? Moya is #6 now, and I love it. Schuettler, good luck trying to stay top 20 this year. Oh and BTW, I saw Corretja live vs. Robredo, and those guys rule. Forehand with so much spin, his backhand is amazing up close. And both of them dance so far out wide to hit those big forehands, it's crazy. Corretja was coming in quite a bit too, and winning.

Well, I enjoyed the Guga/Taylor match. And Haas looked good tonight, although I'm not sure Paradorn was 100% healthy. He's had that shoulder injury, and perhaps he is where Tommy was a year and a half or so ago. If so, he should take some tiime off.

Anyway, the HUGE news at IW today was the withdrawal of Kim Clijsters with an injury to her left wrist. She could be out for up to 6 weeks, according to her interview. She suffered it in her last match, and Lleyton talked a bit about it in his interview tonight too. You may want to check out the transcripts at the Pacific Life Open site.

The feeling of many is you may as well hand the trophy to Henin-Hardenne now, but perhaps this is an opportunity for one of the "ovas" to come into the forefront. Or someone else. Let's see.
