How is that possible?

He barely made unforced errors in Miami and IW.

Baghdatis was leading Kohlschreiber 3-0 with a break up and he managed to give it back immediately

Now it's 4-3 for him and Kohlschreiber serving.

Is Roger & Rafa really playing here this week? I guess they can play this week in Hamburg, then take next week off before the French Open.

Baghdatis seems to have mastered the art of self destruction. He lost the 1st set 5-7 while being 3-0 ahead and now he lost many chances of breaking and was broken after that to trail 2-3 while Kohlschreiber is serving for the 2-4.

I think Nadal has to be the favorite considering he has shown he is the greatest player in the history of the game on clay, and has dominated Federer. However, if anyone can beat him it is Federer, but Federer has to modify his game for the surface and hasn't shown a willingness to do so. I give Fed a 40-60 chance and Nadal a 70-30 chance of winning. Nadal may decide to take an extended rest an go out early in this before he gets to Federer so that he will be fresh for the French, but I don't think his ego will let that happen. A win for Rafa over my favorite player (Federer) in 3 sets.

And Baghdatis succeeded in completing the self destruction with a double fault. 5-7 3-6 to Kohlschreiber.

Baghdatis will have more luck in the Sumo wrestling area with all the weight he has. He was always in defensive mode against Kohlschreiber and sometimes he didn't even try to move to retreive the ball.

With this weight he will drop out of the top 30 before August.

Females won't give him ranking points, money or Grand Slams though

He's not a retriever, on clay. He's more of an attacker. It's like Coria. Coria played much more attacking tennis on clay than on faster surfaces. Don'0t really know why.

He tried to blast forehands all day today... Made it only in 17 times. Missed in the other 40

That's very strange as retrieving could work better on clay than hard courts.

Let´s see who is the qualifier to play against Hrbaty.
Actually, Hrbaty's 2 wins over Federer were on indoor carpet and fast hard courts.
Hrbaty hits flat which can be some problem on fast courts.

Everyone thinks Federer is a fast court player but he actually
has been doing much better on clay than on indoor carpet, especially
at Hamburg, one of the slowest court on earth.
