Tretorn Micro-X are a really good for a ball machine. Weigh the same as any other ball and bounce nearly as well even at 40 degrees farenheit.

I found the Tretorns to feel a bit harder and heavier than standard balls but I guess they would be pretty good in a ball machine.

I think it is because they are filled with what looks like tiny
plastic snow flakes - so they do not compress as much as
the gas balls when you hit them with your racket. And since
they never loose pressure they keep the same bounce

You get used to the Micro-X quite quickly and it's a nice
ball to play with.

(They actually bounce slightly more after a while when the felt
has worn off - think playing with a rubber ball
