Well, since I can´t see the result in this thread...Nadal won 2-6 6-3 7-5. Make it 81. VAMOS!

What a fight. I hope someone uploads it to Youtube. Hewitt taking the first set from Nadal like that is a big deal. Hewitt can trouble Nadal alittle bit. He showed last year at the FO and he showed here today.

i actually expected hewitt to give nadal some trouble, but i didnt expect him to take a set,....i didnt officially make a prediction but i sort of expected like a 7-6 6-3 win for nadal, only one break of serve

i'm glad hewitt's sort of getting back into it.....maybe has something to do with roche? just the confidence booster....well time will tell

vamos rafa....

Yeah you're right. Can you believe Dykstra calling me a troll? Man, he hasn't seen what a real troll is like then. Do you think I'm that bad Zaragoza?

Youīre cool, itīs not easy to support Nadal on this board and sometimes itīs hard to donīt reply to all the trolling over Nadal.
Some people canīt accept that we like Nadal even if Federer is technically close to perfect. I like mentally tough players and great fighters, itīs a matter of taste. Tennis needs of players like that. Nadal got the mentality of a true champion and thatīs what I admire from him. I think he is underrated because he is living in the Federer era but his achievements are amazing for his age. I think itīs a mistake to compare him with Federer. You donīt need to win 10 majors to be a great champion, thatīs what some people canīt understand. Both Federer and Nadal deserve to be admired for different reasons but you know how things work on this board.

I watched most of this match, and I was impressed with what I saw. Hewitt winning the first set with two breaks of serve? Whew, if he kept playing that way in the next set.... Consequently, though, Nadal responded, took the second set, then broke Hewitt's serve to take an early lead in the third. But Hewitt made Nadal work really hard to win his service games in the second and third sets, and Hewitt found a way to even the final set at 4-4. Then came the consecutive breaks of serve! Thrilling tennis to watch, like that point at 6-5, 15-15 with Nadal serving for the match. I was thinking tiebreaker, but the match narrowly missed it.

Hewitt's the man (btw, nice to see him playing well again, especially with all those nagging injuries); just like Davydenko in Rome, only he took Rafa a little further. Perhaps other players should take note of this match. And the countless number of times I saw both players reacting in-between points! So which player gets more fired up? (lol) Ah, good stuff.
