No problem... its a bit hard to search for since the search engine doesn't like 2 character "words"

i'm in...

(1) 1 stripe POG OS
(2) 4 stripe POG OS
(1) POG Tour OS
(2) POG Tour MP

the hoop of 1 stripe POG has a nice comfy flex to it. the 4 stripe POG OS feels more like the POG Tour OS than the 1 stripe OS. i actually prefer the POG Tour OS slightly more than the 4 stripe version.

Hi,

Please count me in...........

I've just switched from my PS 6.0 95's........

I now use a POG Mid Straight Shaft..........picked it up on the bay for £20.....!

I thought Prostaffs were as good as it gets, then I tried the old POG........I'm never going back. Also, I find the POG Mid easier to use than a PS 6.0 95". It just feels right.........

Just dropped it off for a new string job with Pro Supex Syn Gut Spiral Flex @ 60lbs. I had to move away from Poly's, after 4 years they are starting to hurt my arm/shoulder.

Can anyone explain the history of the different incarnations of this racket. Straight shaft 1 stripe etc, 4 stripes.....its very interesting and I want to know exactly what I'm using.

Cheers.......

(Small collection of Prostaff's for sale..........)

What is the difference between the straight shaft POG OS and the 4 stripe POG OS? I understand that the "Tour" version is slightly different than all of the previous POGs - thanks for any info!

Got a POG mid last year from TW after demoing about 15 diff racquets from TW and local shop. Liked the feel and playability better than any of them including K90. Only problem is after stringing it up w/Alu Rough/syngut hybrid it feels comletely diff than the demo (too harsh, not enough power, just uncomfortable). Tried ALU cuz I popped the SG on the demo and tend to break strings easily. Maybe it is strung too tightly at 60??

Just looking for ideas bcs I loved the demo but I hate the way it plays now. Thanks for any help.

^^ 60lbs on a PG mid is pretty tight for a stiff string like Alu Rough. maybe try dropping the tension down to ~53.

I am cheap so I play w/ Gosen OG Sheep... Its gonna be tough to not break strings often... it is a 14x18 pattern.

Even with that pattern and playing with 18g synthetic, it's totally worth it for me. I have a cheap dropweight stringer, and buy reels of Gosen, so its inexpensive to restring my rackets. Also, the stringing pattern is really easy to string, and I can usually string one in ~20 minutes.

Welcome to the club BTW...

Thanks for the tips and the hospitality. Just got my first stringing machine (Klippermate) and started practising on a training racquet w/the sample strings. I can see that I will be breaking lots of strings and the machine will prob pay for itself w/in a few months along w/added convenience.

Bought some Weiscannon Scorpion at both 1.22 and 1.28 and will prob try the 1.28 first for the extra durability since the last alu job didn't last very long. Read a lot of good reviews for the string and hope it feels better than the alu. Otherwise I'll keep experimenting since I have the stringer now and I know I like the frame due to how it played on demo. Just a matter of time to find the right combo.

Someone from the Cheers production team is in. I just saw a 1989 episode called "Please Mr. Postman", in which Sam is trying to keep up with a young, athletic woman who comes into the bar carrying a Graphite OS 1-stripe. Beisdes being the older model (Prince had introduced the 4-stripe by then), it had a Donnay butt cap and stencil–presumably meaning they weren't able to get any money out of Prince for showing the racquet on the episode.

POG Mid (4 Stripe Version) - owned it since 1991.
Normally using PSGD 16/17 at 55-60Lbs.
Thinking of putting full poly (Adrenaline) in at 48 lbs... ...TBD.

Hey POG lovers,

Which of the leather replacement grips available through TW (Dunlop, Gamma, Babolat, Head, Wilson, TW, Volkl, Pacific, Becker) is most like the one that comes stock on the current Tour version of the POG? Thanks.

Don't know but the TW grip is my choice. Long lasting and feels great.

Started with the OS tours, got the longbody, went to the exo3 graphites which are slightly different, now using a 4stripe mid with ProLine2 and gosen around 53lbs and some added lead at 10/2 and the handle. just a few inches to make it a little more polarized

2 exo3 graphite 93
1 exo3 graphite 100
2 POG OS tour (cracked one slightly, I got very angry)
1 POG longbody (wish I had more)
1 POG mid 4-striper
1 POG OS 2nd generation single stripe (super flexy it seems)

really only play with the 4stripe as of right now.
3/8 with 3 overgrips for that inbetween 4/8-5/8.
roughly 4" of lead in the hoop, 2" each at 10 and 2, and another 4" in the handle for a little added weight and polarization.
currently strung with gosen 17-white and proline II 17-black @ 53/51.

Very clean, especially given the price. Nice pull!

Count me in.

Saw the light after playing a LOT of different sticks including a TW Re-issue POG6 Mid. Didn't really care for the POG6 OS but need to spend more time with it. Recently bought a used POG4 Mid in good condition. That one is now my main stick with the POG6 Mid as backup. The POG4 is lighter than the POG6, more head heavy and plays heavier which I prefer. My actual strung measurements after adding an overgrip and rubber band dampener to each:

POG4 Mid (4 stripe)
Weight: 12.3 (4 HL)

POG6 Mid (Tour - TW Re-issue)
Weight: 12.5 (11 HL)

POG6 OS (Tour - TW Re-issue)
Weight: 12.6 (7 HL)

Don't have any other OS to compare it to. Might start playing around with leading up the POG6 Mid to see how customizing it compares to the POG4 Mid.
