just bought an almost new '98 Radical Tour MP through the big auction site, 50 € shipping included
I guess I made a pretty good deal, I have a substitute for a Wilson NBlade at less than 1/3 of the price, don't I? |

Haven't hit with the Nblade so I can't say, but the static weight will be higher and it'll be more stable. A more likely comparison to your Nblade would probably be the newer radicals, Ti. Radical - Present. Keep in mind the first two Radical models hit nothing like the contemporary ones.

Thanks for the offer, but I know if I get one the LE's will become the neglected step-children and I'll be looking for 1-2 more 95's. I will keep you in mind if I change my mind though.

Doc Hollidae,
I was mainly referring to flex rating, head size and string pattern, which are the same. The higher static weight will be better for me. what about the Rad Tour 98 balance and manoeuvrability? |

The balance I can't remember, the manuverability will most likely be a little more sluggish than the NBlade. It'll mostly be a weight issue, but once you get used to the weight it's not so bad. It's definitely more of a baseliner racket imo, when playing in doubles at times it can be tough to manuver during quick net exchanges.

Doc Hollidae,
I guess the weight won't be an issue for me, as I use to play with a PC600, which is a bit heavier. anyway, I will post my impressions once I get the racquet and I have the chance to play with it |

I am so tempted to save up for the new Microgel Radical OS. The Liquidmetal OS is one of my favorite rackets of all time.

Doc, I have a trisys OS... is it a little head heavy, even with leather grip(replaced the worn out black with yellow print grip), overgrip, and ProHTour 15L?...
I'm sure it's original Austria, it has a serial number... Sweet stick, very solid feel(super), not playing with it though, kind of a collector's item... My thoughts are these raqs were designed for ANDRE as stock, that's why it's head heavy... Lead tape may not be so popular by that time... Just my thoughts... Please clarify... Thanks... |

I don't think Agassi played with the racket completely stock. His rackets were specially made for him and him alone I believe. I do believe he used the original Trisys 260, but modded to his preferences. There's various posts about his actual racket if you want to do a search. I believe Andre played with with a 5pt head light balance however. One of the posters here acquired one of his rackets and measured the exact specs.

i just ordered my first "real" tennis racket from tw. it's a lm radical mp. i can't wait to use it. if i'm in love, i'll probably order a couple more. but i have to wait till the end of the month to pick it up. i had it shipped to a friends house in the US to avoid extra shipping and duty costs.

I'm not a big fan of the feel. But what it lacks in feel it excels everywhere else. Great power, control, and excellent on volleys.

If the feel is the only thing bothering you and you can handle the extra weight, the older radicals and the limited edition play the same, but with way more feel and stability.

I have the iRad, only racquet I've ever played with and am seriously considering the LE, based largely on what people have said in posts like this.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying the midplus version of the zebra. Nice heft, swingweight, very stable on volleys, groundstrokes. I'm still doing an extended play test/comparison of the zebra mp and the Trisys 260 mp.
