What's the best technique on how to hit this shot? I heard it was better to hit with an open stance. Is there some websites detailing this backhand shot? Thanks.

That is a great site, I visit it once in a while.
Personally, I admire Marat Safin's two-hander, having seen it live at Las Vegas. It's like a metronome. It's amazing how cleanly he strikes the ball. Oops, I made this a post about Safin... my bad.

With both hands on the racquet, it's easier to accelerate through the hitting zone with an open stance. If you stand too far closed, your trunk rotation will be near the end of its arc and force you to hit more "to the ball" instead of "through the ball".

I really can't emphasize enough how, for me, I've found the exact opposite to be true. I struggled badly with the 2her (having previously been a 1her) until - after reading posts on ''Calling all two-hand backhanders!" ('Tennis tips' section) - I was encouraged to hit from more closed and semi-closed stance positions. Because I was hitting open stance far too often - (it's fine to use it when you don't have the time to implement any other option - but not so often as I was prone to before) - I was hitting across myself too much and getting restricted motion (with ugly or ineffective results) - and it was learning to close stance and get sideways that totally kick-started some progress with the 2her for me. If you check out the thread you'll find ppl thoroughly discussing this issue as well as others that impact majorly on the 2her (such as grips, the takeback, pro's and their individual styles, etc.)
