It will do. Did you know most goalkeepers also make great net players?
Because of their reactions and coordination.
JC out.

I think Soccer especially for young kids is the best sport out there. Soccer develops, balance, coordination, footwork, and cardiovascular fortitude. Which translates directly to basketball, footbal, tennis, pretty much any other sport you may want to take up later.

Another former soccer player, grew up in south florida, played since 6 until I blew out acl freshmen year in high school.

yea while we're on the subject what are some good drills to practice in soccer
i know running and kicking the ball is good in itself but there has to be more

i posted a thread not long ago about cross training and i never did get but one reply

so thats why i have a few questions still

what are specific drills to practice in soccer and basketball to improve my tennis game

i can do soccer drills in my back yard but basket ball i can do it to but not as much as soccer in my back yard

i need things to do when i can't make it to the tennis courts

and not be a couch potato

i think basketball has a stronger relationship to tennis footwork wise, lots of sidestepping, change of direction, short sharp runs. Soccer has a fair bit of cruising when the ball is at the other end
