I'll be switching from 12+ oz so called players frame to
a lighter (about 11 oz. strung) frame. I'll probably have a frame that is still head-light and about medium powered. Is there a certain type of strings are better for a lighter frames ? Would go more flexible or stiff or it's all matter for a personal preferences ? Thanks, FD |

Personally, I'd go with a softer, multifiliment string, just to lessen shock. Multifiliments will give you more power, which I'm assuming you want, especially since you're going to a ligher frame.

Go for a soft "control" string; I like (and recommend) Wilson's Extreme Control. Another workable "control" string is Dunlop's Max Comfort.

I would agree if you are looking for a softer feel and more power. However, 11+ oz. frames can still handle stiffer strings, like Lux ALU Power. I use a PK Laver Type S and it weighs between 11-11.5 ozs. strung with an overgrip and I think it plays quite well with ALU in it.
