I will be going with some friends to Santa Cruz for a night this Sunday. I am guessing that my friends will want to hang out at the beach a lot, and I'm not really a big fan of sitting around in the bright sun and doing nothing. I was wondering if there are any courts in Santa Cruz with a wall where I might be able to find a pick-up game? Thanks in advance for any help.

There is only one listing for a tennis facility on my site in Santa Cruz -- Harbor High. It has yet to be reviewed, so no idea how the courts are.
If you happen to go there, or you find another place to hit in Santa Cruz, consider writing up a review

Thanks brotha!--will do. Cool site btw. I'll probably write reviews for some of the other courts that I've played on.

Unfortunately I haven't played on any of the courts that are listed on your site. Is your site strictly devoted to tennis clubs, or do you also welcome reviews of public courts?

There aren't very many places in the Santa Cruz area outside of the private clubs where you can show up and pick up a game although there are lots of tennis courts accessible to the general public. The only possiblities I can think of for a pick up game are Jade Street Park in Capitola or Ramsay Park but it is 15 miles away in Watsonville. People don't hang around at any of the high school courts, nor at UCSC, nor at Cabrillo College looking for games. I can't think of any tennis courts that currently have a wall to hit against.

Thanks for the help Cruzer. I ended up playing before I left SF yesterday, and I am back home now and about to head to the courts. I didn't even bother bringing my racquets with me.

Currently, I welcome reviews of both private and public facilities. I've debated back and forth as to whether or not I should limit it to private clubs, but so far am staying the course.
