Default Prince Vortex

Does anybody here still use this racquet? For those who have used this racquet, what did you think about it? On a scale between 1 - 10, what would you rank this racquet? I read that this racquet is good in preventing tennis elbow, is this true?

Prince Vortex Mid Plus
16 Main / 18 Cross
Synthetic Gut 16 @ 50 Lbs
Rubberband Dampener Agassi Style

Thanks

You mean the original Vortex? Just do a search on these boards for more information about it.

In short, good frame but Prince made a fundamental flaw in it's design with the balance. It is way way too sluggish and even balanced. Not a problem with a frame like the Storm, but this 12oz moved too slow for me. Would love to try it again and maybe play with adding some weight to the handle but I probably won't bother. Yes, it is very soft compared to today's frames.

If you want a super flexy frame from the 80's try and find the Prince Graphtech DB90. Plays very well and worth the search
