Default Safin's Racquet?

I know that Safin used a Prestige Classic painted to look like an iPrestige, but now that he's "using a LiquidMetal"...is that the case, or is it painted once again?

Absolutely, 100% paint job.

Take a close look where the liquidmetal strips should be - they are painted different shades of silver and grey to make it look like the ridges of real liquid metal.

Any pictures of this? Sorry...Mr. Safin is my hero, I feel obligated to know his racquet specs.

have you seen the racquet in person? i know hdtv is incredible but how can you know? really?

easiest way to figure out is just look at the width when you find some closeup shots of him hitting. remember the old prestige was a thin beam while the LM Prestige incorporates twin tube technology making it wider.

I'm sure that Safin uses a Prestige Classic 600 painted like the LM.

Prostaffer,

This has been discussed on these boards many times. There were even pictures of his "painted" i.prestige with the fake painted intellitours strips.

I know 100% it's not a real liquid metal prestige. During the French Open local papers here had huge close ups of Safin (after he pulled his pants down after a point) and the racquet was so clearly visible you could see the 2 tone paint used to try to make the liquid metal look real.

You try to measure beam width from a picture of him hitting and tell me how you make out. I don't like your chances.

Why not just do a search? I posted this a while ago when he was using i.prestige.
