Default Balance on an eastern fh groundstroke? weight on front or center?

i've built up my eastern forehand stroke to the point where i can hit pretty shots about 75% of the time... but there are those times where i just lose it mentally and the ball sails... any tips on minimizing that? i'm wondering if there's a crucial flaw in my mechanics.

a lil history... my friend told me i placed too much weight on my backfoot, so he told me to focus on balancing my weight into the center of my body... it helped dramatically in terms of power and consistency.

but i'm reading stuff on the internet now that's saying you're supposed to lean into your strokes, therefore applying a lot of pressure on your front foot. What do you think?

Adding more topspin will eliminate those "fliers".

Stepping in is important to Eastern FHs since you probably have less racquet head speed than your SW and Western brethren.
