Fan pattern strings and flying clamps

How do flying clamps work on racquets with fan-patterned mains. Don't flying clamps need 2 parallel strings to hold tension? And what about those lateral-most mains where the strings are furthest part--are oversized flying clamps needed for those? Any feedback will help because I plan to buy a machine soon. Thanks.

Prince/Ektelon make a special flying clamp for fan patterned racquets that has an angle built into the jaws(two sets of clamping jaws offset from each other). Regular flying clamps will work, but they distort the string because they are made to hold strings that are parallel to each other. If you hold up your hand in front of you and spread your thumb and fingers you have an exaggerated idea of what the strings in a fan patterned racquet look like.
