Default Rubber bands as effectiv as dapner?

Hey my dapner recently broke and some1 i play with gave me a rubber band to use are they as effectiv as a dapner>

Is that the only way 2 tie them cuz i had a guy who told me 2 use it tie it and it camundone and i tied it my own way is it still effectiv cuz its sit firmly

I think you can tie it any way you like. Whatever works for you. I tie it the way it's shown in the link.

thanks the hell man! just now i tried it and it worked wonders!

good thing i didnt buy those $6 dampeners whereas a $0.01 rubber band can do better , thanks!

But how do you keep them from falling off all the time ? and Does rubber band weigh significantly less than regular round dampners ??
